• Designing of casing, drilling fluids, cementing plans, and drill bit programs;
• Analyzing relevant drilling data on site and recommending immediate actions as necessary;
• Monitoring the daily progress of well operations and current daily costs, comparing actual costs with cost expenditure proposals and recommending changes or improvements;
• Monitoring safety and environment related issues and ensuring the good maintenance of the well;
• Implementing ISO – 9000 – 2000;
• Working with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitor progress during drilling;
• Administering drilling and service contracts, engineering design and the planning of wells.
