About the Project:
In 2007, the BBC Finance Applications service was transferred from MEDAS to Xansa (on acquisition, now Steria). Steria outsourced the IT Operations supporting the BBC Finance service to its 3rd party contractor, Siemens. The project to undertake the transfer was called BBC Springbok and this included the migration of the Infrastructure and application data to Siemens estate as well as responsibility for managing the IT operations.
