MASTERS LEVEL PROJECTS:

• Design and analysis of wheel loader: Designed and developed complete 3D model of wheel loader in SolidWorks and applied constrains for required physical movement of assembly. The model was also analyzed for stress and dynamic analysis in MSC Visual Nastran Desktop 4D. Tools used: SolidWorks 2008 and Nastran Desktop 4D

• Design and analysis on Cargo block of ISS: Modeled functional cargo block (Zarya 1) in SolidWorks according to dimensions given by ISS and further imported into MSC Patran for design analysis. The model was analyzed for the stresses and dynamics caused by solar panel and boundary conditions. Tools used: SolidWorks and MSC Patran

• Numerical simulation of blood flow in a human artery: Modeled human artery and analyzed it across various flow rates. Flow rates were parameterized basing on relative Reynolds number of the flow. The respective outputs were compared with an analytical approach to the same problem set that proves the theory of analyzing. Tools used: Fluent (CFD)

• Design and Manufacturing of Critical Missile Components (Industrial Experience): The project dealt with designing important components used in propulsion system; modeled in Pro/E and analyzed in Ansys. The project also dealt with generating CNC code in ESPRIT for manufacturing these components on CNC machines.

• Design of Computer Recognition system for Table Tennis shooter (Masters Project): The project dealt with designing a sensor that tracks and outputs 3D positional data (X, Y & Z coordinates) of an object from the sensor (camera). The coding part of this project includes writing code in C++ using OpenCV libraries for calibrating

cameras and tracking 3D object. The 3D positional data can be inputted into the shooter for advance training purposes. Tools used: OpenCV libraries, C++

• Design of Fuzzy Logic Vehicle Speed controller: The project dealt with designing advance vehicle speed controller in Simulink environment. Project dealt with using 90 rules with four inputs and the outputs were acceleration control and braking power on wheels. Tools used: Matlab fuzzy logic toolbox and Simulink principles

• Design of Neural Network: Designed and implemented a neural network which predicts the future condition of drill bit in the CNC machines. The neural network was trained with large amounts of data and simulated with test data to get the results. Tool used: Matlab neural network toolbox
