EXPERIENCE:
Maintenance:
• Overhaul and repair 4 high pressure steam boilers
• Enter confined spaces to work such as boiler, deaerator, and condensate tank
• 3000 hour overhauls on positive displacement air compressors
• Change oil and inspect small steam turbines used for emergency
• Replace and repair leaking steam traps and piping
• Unload chemicals such as meta bisulphite, sulphuric acid and chlorine from a tanker truck
• Cleaned up hazardous materials
Operational:
• Perform operational checks both in the field and on the DCS
• Take water sample from plant out going catch tank (chlorine check)
• Fill out permits such as; safe work, hot work and confined space
• communicate using portable radios.
• Lock out plant equipment for maintenance
• Enter work notification for required maintenance
• Knowledge of computers (word, excel, IP-21, Aspentech)
• Knowledge of first responder skills such as CPR/ Defibrillation and First Aid and donning self contained breathing apparatus
