"I had the pleasure of working with David Martinez during my tenure at Swinerton Builders (Formerly Swinerton & Walberg) between 1998 and 2000. During this time Dave was the Project Manager at the Soka University of America Project a $250million, 110 acre site consisting of 17 new Class A buildings multi-level buildings totaling approx. 500,000sf. Dave was the Project Manager for Stage D the Student Services and Athenaeum Buildings

approx. $80million of the overall project. The time I spend working with Dave at the above project was very productive and as a team we were able to successfully complete the project within the terms of the prime contract, meeting schedule milestone delivery dates, enhancing our profits, keeping a safe work environment for our crews, cultivating relationships with our subcontractors and Owners Representative as well as exceeding the expectations of our employer. These efforts were made possible due to Dave's diligent conscientious attitude towards the project. Dave was extremely committed and reliable and was a team player, always willing to assist a fellow teammate with an issue. Dave made sure that the workmanship was in strict accordance with the plans and specifications and solved field problems daily. Additionally Dave was very conscientious of cost control and never authorized any extra work without first discussing it with the Owners representative and assured the project was profitable. Dave was also very committed to the schedule and took schedule dates very seriously and every day in the schedule, was an opportunity. He did not allow days to slip and did an excellent job tracking all changes within the schedule from the original baseline dates i.e., RFI’s, Owner changes etc. I found Dave’s attention to detail and strong desire to achieve his personal best made him an asset to the project. During the term of these projects, Dave established an excellent rapport with the staff, Owner and architect; it was a pleasure to work with Dave and list his top qualities as reliability and commitment in seeing a project through to completion and would welcome the

opportunity to work with him again."
