DIVISION DIRECTOR – IT Development & Engineering, Northrop Grumman
Mr. James Led the ITIL Service Assurance Model implementation for the DOD Operations Center Project. He is the Chief Architect for the DHS Operating Unit Campaign. Mr. James Managed the Internal IT Services for the Northrop Grumman Corporation, for 3000+ servers, storage and network. Manage and implement the tools infrastructure for NGC internally and all external clients. He managed all the Development of the Software & Application Tools to include monitoring system, CMDB, Trouble Ticketing and billing systems. Overseeing all Engineering, Operation, and Development of IT Services for Commercial, State and Local Business Implemented the ITIL V3 Framework achieved ISO 20000 certification.
DIVISION DIRECTOR – Network & Security Practice, Northrop Grumman
Mr. James was responsible for the Product Development of Managed services within the Networking and Security Practice of Commercial, Local, and State Government area. Leading Security & Network Architecture within Northrop Grumman Commercial, State and Local Government Division. He created the Charter and creation of the practice; “The Network & Security Practice defines, creates, and maintains standards, guidelines, tools and templates for designing and operating Networks and Security Services.” Serving as the subject matter experts for both new proposal development and existing programs. Mr. James had two PSO responsible leadership roles: Management of Program Security Officer for State of Virginia as well as San Diego County. Mr. James also led the complete evolution of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Network from a Frame Relay (and DSL) based platform to a MPLS VRF evolved platform with two Centralized Data Centers (Lebanon and Chester Va.)
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, Global Network & Security, Verisign
Mr. James Led the Network Operations Center, and Security Operations Center Globally; managing 13 Constellation DNS sites at 5 “9’s” of availability. This was supporting the DNS resolution of all .COM & .NET resolution on the globe. He additionally managed all Data Center Engineering in Switzerland, New Castle Delaware, Mountain view California, Dulles Virginia as well as Hong Kong. He Led the Human Resource acquisition team in hiring Engineers to create Switzerland Data Center (SDC). He Engineered and led the “Hands on Team” in the full implementation of the SDC.
SENIOR SERVICE EXECUTIVE – Wireless & Content Service Provider, Cisco
Mr. James was the First SIRT Management Responder for Cingular/ATT/Verizon.
He provided comprehensive, effective and, as required, customized support services to key strategic accounts; at CxO level engagements.
Mr. James Facilitated post-sales support and leveraged resources to increase product, technology and services absorption into the customer's network.
He was responsible for Providing large Service Provider’s a single point of contact as a customer advocate within Cisco. He was the Tier II Executive Interface for Cisco Service Provider Customers
DIRECTOR – North American Planning & Design, UUNET Technologies
Mr. James served as the decision-maker in Internet Planning & Implementation within UUNET for all service deployments within North America. He Directed capacity and network planning teams responsible for monitoring link utilization, modeling network, conducting performance reports, and implementing growth plans for ongoing revenue increases. Mr. James led large scale Project teams in the evolution of Information system and Network evolutions; completing the network evolution from an OC12 ATM-based Internet network to an OC192MPLS network, easing traffic management, reducing network elements, and providing a platform for expanded service offerings. His overall Responsibility entailed the ongoing Planning and Implementation of 600+ nodes within North America; which supported a Budget Responsibility of ~$300M.
