Responsibilities include ensuring safety and well-being of children and classroom.
9/2010-12/2010- 2NDFLOOR Youth Helpline Internship
• 450hrs as Phone Counselor. Answer helpline calls, emails, and message board posts, utilize skills of active listening, use empathic and non-judgmental responding, access resources for youth and families in New Jersey and the referral process, assess level of need for each caller, ensure confidentiality and anonymity of callers unless in crisis situation.

QUALIFICATIONS
Part of my educational experience has included a voluntary 90 hour classroom observation at Keansburg Borough Preschool and First grade. Learning experience included classroom observation, lesson planning, teacher assistant, and creative interaction with the children. I have a natural connection with children and they easily form relationships with me. Completed 35 hours of observation/hands on time at the Helen and Bill Geyer YMCA Family Center in Montclair for field experience. During this experience I helped teach school aged children tennis and golf, in which I thoroughly enjoyed.
