Plant Manager

• Managed daily operations of the plant during the 24/7 schedule with responsibility for production, quality, safety, maintenance, product development, cost management, staffing, and administration.

• Immediately structured a cost recognition and reduction program that reduced costs by 18% within only 5 months, primarily through labor optimization, materials and utility efficiency and production redistribution.

• Formulated “Scrap Reduction” program throughout the facility to assure continuous improvements in material usage efficiencies.

• Designed and implemented a Safety Awareness program resulting in zero OHSA recordable injuries.

Production Engineering Supervisor

The Montgomery, Alabama facility had PVC and ABS profile processing operations, in addition to LDPE and HDPE sheet extrusion with post thermoforming operations.

• Implemented installation, start-up, and operator training of complete new Stripdrain PE product line.

• Managed Stripdrain department and collaborated with Contech sales force to expand Stripdrain applications through product and process design changes.

• Responsible for quality control and product testing in all phases of production. Established testing procedures for the new Stripdrain product. Interfaced with Contech sales force and production department on product quality and improvements.
