EXPERIENCE: DOLANS LUMBER Sacramento, CA

Truss Technician Sept/2002 – Nov/2008

· For the first three years I produced the company’s cut lists from the truss technician’s designs.

· In January of 2006 I was promoted to a Truss Technician where I completed over 180 projects.

· The projects ranged from simple additions to major apartment complexes.

· My job duties also included creating customer bid sheets, engineering truss calculations and truss cad layouts. Reviewed architectural and structural construction sheets to accurately design wood trusses

· I was also asked to maintain the truss departments computer systems.

KCE MATRIX Glendale, CA

Structural Drafter/Designer Jan/2002 – Jul/2002

· Assisted structural engineers during building site inspections.

· Took photos of structural damage to buildings and used ACD picture manager to download and organize them.

· Created power point presentations using digital photos and converted AutoCAD drawings.

A.E. SCHMIDT ENVIROMENTAL Van Nuys, CA

AutoCAD Drafter Jan/2000 – Dec/2001

· Produced structural CAD drawings from architect’s drawings.

· Created 2d layouts of Costco, Safeway, and Furrs gas stations.

· Used a special job application for AutoCAD that allowed me to see if the gasoline truck

could safely make it in and out of the gas station.

VARIOUS 2d and 3d DESIGN SKILLS

· Created 2d designs of optical-mechanical automated process systems and components.

· Produced 2d production drawings from 3d parametric solid models.

· Produced 3d mechanical assemblies.

· Used solid works cad program to design 3d models of direct trac and belt trac public guidance products

· Assisted field engineers with accurate accident reconstruction diagrams.

OFFICE SKILLS

· Managed the truss department’s computers.

· Managed a small engineering document control room.

· Produced lumber cultists and production paperwork of truss technician’s designs

· Made sure truss designs were ok for cutting efficiency.

EDUCATION: AMERICAN RIVER COLLEGE 2005 - PRESENT

Working on the general education requirements for a Bachelors Degree.

LOS ANGELES PIERCE COLLEGE 1992 - 1999

Completed manual and CAD drafting courses. Obtained knowledge in multi-view, auxiliary, sectional, working assemblies, and other types of drawings. I earned an Associates of Arts Degree in 1999. I also gained experience in AUTOCAD.

INTERNATIONAL CORRESPONDENCE SCHOOLS 1993 - 1995

Completed courses in general drafting. Earned a general drafting diploma.
