OBJECTIVE

A full-time position conducting geologic analysis of different locations and situations by utilizing the fundamentals acquired with my Bachelors of Science degree in professional geology. To be an asset to a company using the knowledge and the skills that I have obtained.

EDUCATION

LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY , Baton Rouge, LA, December 2007

Bachelor of Science Major: Professional Geology

Related courses: Multiple courses in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology that were used to further understand Geology and its processes.

Academic Projects: Research and presentations based on events related to different geologic processes of seismology, sedimentology, petrography, petrology, and plate tectonics. .

SKILLS

Management

Planned, organized, and implemented ideas as well as plan of actions using fundamental knowledge of Geology to gain an understanding of the processes in the physical field of study. Field supervision of geotechnical drilling crews as well as assisting in planning and meeting the goal in geotechnical projects. Coordination of multiple crews on large scale projects. Maintained daily reports and logistics for timely submittals. Conducted quality control on numerous documents and contractors. Logged for well drilling rigs on both one man and two man crews were time allocation was essential for completing well logs.

Teamwork

Worked and planned with groups of 2-3 fellow students in the field for geologic work. These projects had to be completed using initiative and teamwork from each other to finish each project in a timely and effective manner over a specified length of time. Worked on numerous geotechnical exploration crews where working together was necessary to complete the job in a timely fashion to meet project deadlines as well as keep everyone on the crew safe. Worked with multiple contractors, sub contractors, and other offices within the company to achieve timely and quality results safely. Worked with well site supervisors and company geologists to discuss drilling prognosis and implement ideas to complete projects. Conducted shift work in which proper communication to relief shift was essential to complete analysis properly.

Computer

Proficient in the use of numerous programs and operating systems including Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. I am also familiar with AutoCAD, Gint, Linux seismic data interpretation, and a basic working knowledge of Petra and ArcGIS. Use of sophisticated hydrocarbon gas monitoring systems including iBall system, M-systems, Wellsight system, along with other software involving the importing of raw data.

Heavy Equipment Certifications

Acquisition of different certifications and licensing to operate heavy machinery. Familiar with safety regulation of related topics and understand the importance of such policies on a large and a small scale basis. DOT registered to drive large equipment, but not commercial equipment.
