Author and maintain SOP’s for verification procedures, work instructions and documentation for Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) and support of 510K filing efforts. Products are web-based applications with SOA architecture using RESTFUL web services. Selenium based java automation test suite to exercise regression testing. Write, review and approve test cases as needed. Execute functional, regression, stress/load and implementation testing in QA and validation environments as well as ad hoc testing in development. April 2008 to August 2008 – Senior QA Coordinator (Consultant)

Performed one month effort for client in Raleigh (Misys) performing Medical software product quality assurance. Product testing revolved around cache-mode (disconnected) software product usage and associated database updates required when user re-connects to the system. Managed a team of 3 individuals both on-site and remote and coordinated with two customer QA contacts at client site. Detailed test cases were used and weekly reporting sent to client to document efforts and results.

Performed four month effort for client in Boston (MIT) for web-sso (single sign on) of MIT’s Touchstone application/project. Worked extensively with MIT personnel to develop, maintain and execute test cases according to evolving requirements, documented work efforts, coordinated testing with development resources, managed diverse user accounts and verified various types of user accounts (faculty, student, off-site (general population) etc. Each required specific access privileges and inheritance. When time permitted, also assisted with MIT’s Gradebook project assisting with the development of the automated system for faculty to record and report student grades online.

Responsible and accountable for Quality Assurance executed by 16 employees and 3 interns for all testing of the eEnrollment, eBilling, eExchange, EDI, Payroll, ICYou, eDirect, HR In-touch and iHealthfocus products. Involved quarterly releases in a fast-paced environment using Agile development processes. Analyzed systems and recommended and implemented various improvements and have developed QA training plans for staff, managed the release activities, coordinated joint testing with clients and developed the QA Strategy. Daily responsibilities included dealing with customer service representatives, client relationship managers, operations personnel, release management, database staff and various other development and upper-level management staff, VP’s and the COO in addition to managing QA Teams.

October 2003 to October 2006 – IS Manager (QA)

Responsible and accountable for up to 15 quality assurance employees and configuration management. Performed diligently a high level of quality assurance to maintain a stable production environment for Laboratory specimen processing, tracking, reporting and archiving. Tracked and reported on 5 key projects critical to our core business success. Obtained automated software testing tools to increase team productivity. Each year I was required to successfully pass independent audits of the system for compliance with CLIA, CAPP, SOX, 21 CFR Part 11 and other Federal Regulations and Audit requirements as well as Management Reporting. Implemented new processes and procedures for verification and validation of software, internal procedures, and formalized change management policies. Worked toward Change Management Methodology (CMM) Level II capability in the department. In addition, I outlined the strategic direction for the QA Department. Accepted responsibility for three additional software applications for which my team was responsible to perform QA. On the configuration management side, had three different operating systems to manage software releases for and coordinate the distribution of that data. October 2001 to October 2003 – IS QA Supervisor

Responsible for software Quality Assurance and Configuration Management, same duties as described above with a different title and grade. Managed six software quality assurance testers and one employee responsible for Source Control and Configuration Management. Software included mainframe changes to COBOL programs/runstream ECL, and front-end system changes in Unix/Linux systems. Often runstream changes were required to ECL. Reported hours spent on various projects for my employees, resolved problems and issues between employees and with other managers, and facilitated relations between programmers and my QA staff. Maintained various spreadsheets on performance issues, projects, workload and managed them so that projects are completed on-time and a quality product is implemented. Responsible for performance reviews for all seven of my employees, and work with them to find mentors, role-models and any other beneficial items to help them attain their career goals. Implemented some recognition programs to boost morale, as well as other improvements to increase productivity and efficiency. During this period, my team grew to 11 employees.

October 2000 to October 2001 – Quality Assurance Consultant

Responsible for software Quality Assurance. Performed system testing on Unix databases and associated web content. Analyzed and designed test design specifications and test case scenarios to verify that all elements of the application were tested and met quality gates. Solely responsible for all reporting applications. Wrote and executed SQL queries to verify web content and database content are synchronous. Any defects or problems were immediately logged and reported after analyzed. Using Peoplesoft for security setup, prepared test data in Peoplesoft and verified that data was transferred into the database via batch processes. Worked with developers to create an interim solution or modification request to be included in a subsequent patch or production release. Performed integration and performance testing to verify that the system was able to handle 125% capacity loading and all data streams were in place and functioning properly. All items were regression tested with system testing. Intersystem testing was performed whenever required. Prioritized all test case scenarios and ascertained that all key functionality was tested appropriately using risk/probability analysis. All of the reports under my responsibility were transitioned to a data warehouse format, and all test scenarios associated with testing. Additionally, assisted the Questcon Home Office in developing web page content and publishing pages, using HTML and PHP for this purpose.

Responsible for system upgrades and maintenance for the LUCI (Look Up Customer Information) application. Application developed using C/C++ and Powerbuilder, with SQL server and Erwin Database functionality with ODBC. Also I am solely responsible for all GUI interface testing using Mercury Interactive’s WinRunner and TestDirector software. During this period, I received training in Java and maintained the Intranet for our team. (Used HTML, Front-Page 98, Arachnophilia, Javascript, WS FTP-Pro and TCP/IP). Recently assigned to maintain the StafTrak application written in Visual Basic with Erwin Database connectivity. Solely responsible for all Powerbuilder "builds" for the LUCI application.
