My responsibilities covered recording vital signs on patients, performing venipuncture, injections, preparing patients for examination for physician, and assisting in surgical procedures. Removal of skin cancers, and moles, debridement of ulcers, and wound care after surgical procedures. I was also responsible for dressing changes, and follow up care from surgery. I replaced ulna boots, removal of sutures and staples. Telephone messages for numerous physicians in the office along with refills of prescriptions.

Patient care for elderly gentleman that required daily finger stick blood sugars, daily vitals, dressing changes following wounds from cardiac surgery. I transported patient to physician appointments. Followed up on required medication for protimes results weekly. I was responsible for contact between son and physician. I also helped maintain activities of daily living. Was responsible for documentation of all procedures, dressings, vital signs, and FSBS results for physician’s office.
