Clinton Ohio and Oxnard CA. Design and breadboarding of power supplies for the Navy Azimuth Program. Utilized design principals such as planar magnetics and ripple steering to develop power converters with low noise and high efficiency. Topologies include buck, boost, buck-boost, flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge and push-pull at frequencies from 50 khz ro 300khz with both voltage and current mode control. EMI filter design meeting Emi conducted and radiated emissions to MIL STD 461C, D and E levels. Manage 2 design engineers, all operations, vendor and customer/Government interface.
ZIN POWER GROUP May 2003 –June 2005 Business Development Manager and General Manager Brookpark, Ohio. Started Division within ZIN Technologies, a 50+ year old NASA Subcontractor, designing to build Cots, space rated and mil-spec AC/DC and DC/DC converters for NASA and DOD customers. Programs include MRDOC, GESS, Tomahawk, Azimuth, Promethius, Trident and F15 HUD upgrade. Utilized design principals such as planar magnetics and ripple steering to develop standard, configurable and “build to print”50W-115KW converters with low noise and high efficiency. Topologies include buck, boost, buck-boost, flyback, forward, half-bridge, full-bridge and push-pull at frequencies from 25 khz ro 300khz with both voltage and current mode control. EMI filter desin meeting Emi conducted and radiated emissions to MIL STD 461C, D and E levels. Major customers include: Lockheed, General Dynamics , NASA GRC, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, BAE, DRS, L3, Wright Pat AFB, Eaton, SPAWAR, SECHAN, Harris, Falcon and Raytheon. ARNOLD MAGNETICS July 2001-May 2003 Camarillo CA - National Sales Manager and Applications/design engineer 3 direct employees and 11 Rep firms for this military power supply manufacturer. Grew sales by >23% and established 8 new accounts with major programs. Major customers included, Lockheed Syracuse and Sand Lake, General Dynamics Taunton and Tewksbury MA, Carlos, Gavazzi Mupac Boston MA, Raytheon Goleta CA, and SPAWAR San Diego CA. Left due to company cash flow problems.
POWER-ONE INC. December 1996-April 2001 Camarillo CA. National Distributor Sales Manager for the broadest line of Linear, Switch Mode and DC-DC Supplies manufactured in the Dominican Republic. Managed 53 Distributors both National and Regional including Arrow, Pioneer Standard, Power Spec, Forsythe, Sterling, Marshall, Hallmark and Allied. Grew business each year greater than the NEDA average. Responsible for tracking all Registrations and year to date actual to budgets in File Maker Pro. Set up and chaired first distributor councils. Sat on bi-annual Rep Councils. Held Quarterly Reviews with all major distributors and developed Key Account Program with Distributors. Developed Distributor Training Program and trained all Distributors in 1998.
PIONEER-STANDARD ELECTRONICS, Cleveland, Ohio May 1988-December, 1996. Power Technology Segment Manager & Senior Corporate Marketing Manager-Responsible for all inventory and assets, corporate product manager responsibilities, marketing and marketing communications activities for the largest passive line package for the number three broad line distributor. I am the only corporate marketing manager to obtain the number one rank in every focus line assigned among 1800 competitiors. Major lines include Power-One, Kemet, Bourns, Nichicon, & Astec. Major customers include GE Medical, Siemens Medical, Abbott Labs, Harris, Credence and Applied Materials. Developed Power Products Center solution program in 1993. 3 year member of Order Management Process Redesign Team, Member of EDI Documentation Team, Futurestart, Member of the Mission Statement Development Team and Facilitator of Bourns Business Redesign Team.
1995-Developed the Pioneer Power Components Solution Program utilizing focued power FAE’s to
help sales personnel to offer kitting solution to OEM customers who need to build their own supplies.
Major partner lines are: Astec, Power Integrations, General Semi, IR, Kemet, Lucent Technologies, IR, National Semiconductor , Nichicon, SGS, Siemens, and Unitrode. This is the first program of this kind in the world and is one of the most profitable solution programs at Pioneer and is growing at 41%+ per year.
Director of Sales Components 1988 to 1990-Supervised 228 field sales engineers who called on major accounts selling focus lines including National, AMD, Actel, Bourns, Ansley, Power-One, Potter & Brumfield, TRW Cinch and Kemet. Took Kemet from probation to number one in growth (%) in 1990 and became Power-One’s number one distributor in 1989 then became their largest customer in 1990 through today. Served on Mission Statement Committee 1989 and ISO Auditor 1990. All director of sales position were terminated upon the exit of the VP of Sales in 1990.

major accounts including Delco, Motorola, Ford, Northern Telecom, AT&T and Rockwell. Was number
one passive component supplier to Delco 1984 to 1988. Exceeded sales forecasts all five years. Also had responsibility for Zenith and Motorola as the international account manager.
