Project manager overseeing planning requirements and Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) prior to First Integration Testing (FIT).Identified, documented and analyzed requirements, processes, and problems to improve existing application systems. Assisted in documenting network business rules and reviewed other department business rules, translated business requirements and functionality into technical requirements. System Integrator I (2000 – 2005)

Lead a project team for Voice Messaging Operations (VMO) gathered & provided business & functional requirements for the new projects; documented & analyzed chronicle problem/issues, identified solution by working with technical staff and vendor, evaluated document for new software releases and performed impact assessment, worked with SMEs and vendor to facilitate test planning and development based new feature and functions, coordinated the tests execution and validation, developed & implemented deployment schedule and managed vendor and internal resources during rollout on over 54 switch sites.

• Documented a variety of procedures such as fixing common problems, bringing down/up different elements within VMS, test plans, FIT checklists, Change Management templates, proactive maintenance and project software releases. Published or updated new procedures on VMS website using HTML.

• Identified data sources and developed ETL process to feed Performance & Availability DB. Developed and provided QPIs and monthly activity based management (ABM) reports for VMO.

• Influenced test plan and cases for different release certification process resulted in reduction of disk problems by %38 (6.402) upon completion of roll out.

• Automated repetitive tasks during upgrade process to reduce service/system downtime. Increased vendor efficiency by reducing downtime activity during post upgrade verification process. Results: ability to implement upgrade on two sites per night instead of one, on-time project delivery, completion within budget, and with no operation errors.

• Coached VMO analysts to improve vendor processes resulting in reduced trouble ticket queue from over 1200 in August to 50 in September. Redesigned 6.402.14 roll out structure between vendor and VMO team resulting in $190K savings. Mentored other engineers in support of small projects

Sprint Long Distance Division

Manager of Integrated Finance (1998 – 2000)

Managed a Decision Support System (DSS) group for Sprint Business International (SBI) and Integrated Finance Support (IFS) of the Sprint Business Group. Managed on-going support and consulting for SBI and IFS staff for data analysis & reporting, workflow software automation, IFS Website, and application Marts.

• Initiated and managed automation of service request tracking process (web-based common interface for our customer service request) resulting in faster response to customer needs and trending as customer needs changes.

• Conceptualized, gathered requirements, and documented the Global Information Mart (GIM) after consolidating all reporting requirements of SBI and IFS groups. Project managed and delivered Phase I.

• Gathered requirements and developed infrastructure for the Port Meter projects (a Data Port installation progress reporting) by speed and at DS level with market segmentation for the selected product (ATM and Frame Relay). This measurement replaced minutes of use as a main QPI for the Long Distance Division.

• Assisted in development of Dedicated Access Warehouse (DAW) utilizing Pinnacle, FMS applications.

Sprint Local Telephone Division (LTD)

Program Analyst V (1996 – 1998)

• Collaborated with and matrix managed eight different IS groups, Vendors, and implementation teams in pilot testing of NED (Network Engineering Drawing) application, an OO-based C/S system from INTEGRAPH, for graphic documentation and asset management of Central Offices for four Operating Centers. A successful pilot in NT and Oracle database platforms resulted in approving this product for deployment.

• Negotiated with LDD Network group and obtained application to convert and deploy in LTD environment. Planned, coordinated, and scheduled all activities of a cross-divisional (LDD-LTD) team during conversion/enhancement. The National Operator Support System (NOSS), an OO-based C/S environment in UNIX, Oracle database, and OSI (NetExpert, Visual Agent). Delivered the Network Fault Management application for the 532x Digital Cross Connect ahead of schedule.

• Managed the development of multiple projects in a Lotus Notes environment and content managed the National Standard and Process Library(NSPL), CLEC and Network Operation Procedures.

Sprint Long Distance Division (LDD)

Technical Specialist I (1990 – 1995)

• Documented and streamlined current workflow processes. Developed and maintained a variety of collaborative applications using Lotus Notes such Technical Reference & Reporting, Time Reporting, Communications Application for Sprint Object Oriented User Group, and Project Time Reporting.

• Saved $310,000 by redeployment and asset transferring of licenses of PC software development tools across departments and cross-divisional.
