2009 – Current Principal Consultant, TekSystems, Inc. (West Palm Beach, FL)

One of two principal consultants designated by TekSystems in Florida with responsibilities to provide support/services to specific organizations, along with identifying new business opportunities in vertical markets.

2008 – Current Project Manager, TekSystems, Inc. (Juno Beach, FL)

Contract position with NextERA Energy Resources, LLC. (FPL Company) to assist in the integration of a new royalty management software package for the renewable energy business group. Position expectations include budget, scope, schedule, vendor, and resource management. I utilize MS Project Server, MS SharePoint, SAP, Quality Center, and standard SDLC methodologies within each project managed.

Below are examples of projects I managed at NextERA Energy:

NextEra Royalty Management Project: Took over the project in distress to bring the scope and budget back into acceptable margins, so that the deliverable could be produced in a forecasted schedule. This project was designated as a SOX certified deployment, which included additional security and documentation mandates.

Project scope: Deploy a solution to assist the NextEra Business Group with capturing, storing, calculating, and disbursing royalty payments for Wind Projects around the world. Technologies used include ESRI GIS (ArcMap), Quorum QRM System, Cognos BI, Windows Platform, MS SQL 2005 Database (Quorum), and Oracle 10g Database (ESRI).

NextEra Prospecting Upgrade Project: Managed the project from requirements to user acceptance supervising a team of vendor contractors and internal NextEra resources. Project included a Capital/O&M 2009 budget of 1.2M and deployment December 2009.

Project Scope: Upgrade an existing solution to include KPI measures, email notification functionality, document storage, and integrated security policies. Technologies used include ESRI GIS (9.3.1), Quorum Prospecting Application, Business Objects BI, Windows Platform, and Oracle 10g Database.

2008 – 2008 Project Manager, Robert Half International, Inc. (Juno Beach, FL) – 4 months

Contract position with Dycom Industries to provide software project management expertise for the corporate IT Division. Primarily focused on a software rollout for the Utility Locate line of business.

2007 – 2008 Project Manager, TekSystems, Inc. (Juno Beach, FL) – 1 Year

Contract position with Florida Power & Light Energy, LLC., through the Information Management division to support the renewable energy business development group. I utilized MS Project Server, MS SharePoint, SAP, Quality Center, and standard SDLC methodologies within each project managed.

Below are examples of projects I managed at FPLE:

FPLE Land Lease Program: Supported a program to create business units that would manage Wind Development projects internally for the organization. This included organizational distribution, interviewing candidates for key positions, evaluating vendor participation, and estimating technical solutions to manage the future workflow for the renewable energy sections.

FPLE Land Suite Project: Managed the project from conception to user acceptance, identifying / deploying key software solutions that would provide internal staff with a means to manage legal obligations stemming from contract/agreements during the development stage of a Wind Project.

Project Scope: Deploy a complete solution that would allow FPLE to capture information, store data, spatially report land obligations, and make landowner payments relating to the development of renewable energy opportunities. Technologies used included ESRI GIS, Quorum Land Application, Land Web Screens Application, Business Objects BI, Documentum, and Oracle 10g Database.

FPLE Prospecting Project: Managed the project from conception to user acceptance, identifying the requirements to develop a new software tool and manage contract/internal resources for successful deployment. This included storyboarding the goals of the organization and defining the business/technical process that would be incorporated into a .NET application.

Project Scope: Deploy an application that would provide a spatially enabled application to manage wind energy opportunities through the signing of a legal agreement. Basically, this product would eventually become a spatial CRM system that would allow land agents to find and secure project areas for the deployment of wind farms throughout the world. Technologies used included ESRI GIS, .NET Development (eventually named QProspecting application from the Quorum Vendor), Business Objects BI, and Oracle 10g Database.

2006-2007 Project Manager, Cross Match Technologies, Inc. (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) – 1 Year

I served as the project manager working within the Global Software Development Division with responsibilities to formalize project management practices in a product-oriented environment. In this position I controlled the coordination between our client base, sales representatives, and development staff. I utilized MS Project, MS SharePoint, Oracle Financials, and standard PMI methodology practices.

Below is an example of a successful project I managed for Cross Match Technologies, Inc.

Navy Mobile Operations Biometric System (MOBS): Managed complete project life cycle, from prototype to successful deployment, of a new mission system for biometric, facial, document, GPS, and demographic capture. This specialized system is currently in use around the world in tactical environments.

2005-2006 Project Manager, South Florida Water Management District (West Palm Beach, FL)

Duties included managing concurrent projects for the IT Division (Applications Development Section) supporting the water utility and environmental restoration organization, working with the ITPMO and EPMD to help enhance their project methodology (PMI PMBOK) and SDLC processes.

2001-2005 Datatrac Information Services, Inc. (Chantilly, VA)

Position: IT Program Manager

Position responsibilities included supervising project managers for the IT Consulting Practice, along with managing critical projects for the IT Division. I managed internal and external IT resources dedicated to projects for the company including responsibilities for risk management, P/L, recruiting, client relationships, and new business projections. We used MS Project (incl. Project Server), MS Sharepoint, Siebel CRM, Deltek Financials, PMI Methodology (PMBOK), DOJ SDLC Methodology (Federal Government), and std. GAAP accounting practices. Lines of business(s) included Contact Center, IT Help Desk, Secure Depot, CRM Consulting, Document Imaging, Network Security, and IT Training.

Position: IT Project Manager

Position responsibilities included managing multiple concurrent IT projects and standardization of project methodologies throughout the company. Each project included risk management, budget estimation/control, schedule planning/evaluation, work package definition (WBS), workforce management, client communication, and deliverable assessment.

Below are examples of projects I managed for Datatrac Information Services, Inc.

LOC Copyright CRM Project: Project (CMM level 3) focused on the integration of a CRM system (Siebel) for case management within the U.S. Library of Congress environment to facilitate and warehouse Copyright requests (900,000 per year).

FBI NICS QA Project: Project focused on developing a web based quality assurance application to be used for the FBI National Instant Background Check System, housed in 3 secure contact centers.

2000-2001 Program Manager, Infodata Systems, Inc. (Fairfax, VA)

Position responsibilities included managing multiple concurrent projects focused on digital pharmaceutical FDA submissions and an Adobe centric product line. Program responsibilities included risk management, budget forecast/control, P/L, recruiting, client relationships, and new business projections.

1998-2000 Sr. Project Manager, CyberMark, Inc. (Tallahassee, FL)

Planned and directed the deployment of centralized card system(s), distributed access devices, and mass carding environments. Standard technologies included SmartCard platforms, OMNI POS devices, and magnetic stripe (proximity) installations. Integrated legacy systems with telephony providers and banking institutions via proprietary software. I provided budgeting and resource allocations to successfully complete the integration and deliverables for concurrent projects.
