Employment History

2006-2012 Art Director, Gala Events, Inc./Gala Design Group

Managed and designed all things "art" for a full service, event production company that continually created award-winning events.

• Collaborated with clients and event planners to design overall theme and artistic vision for upscale corporate and social events.

• Designed 3D renderings for entrance treatments, stage design, room layouts, and any custom décor using 3D Studio Max.

• Managed a crew of 10-20 production assistants to successfully produce décor based on my 3D renderings.

• Designed wide variety of print graphics including invitations, signs, logos, t-shirts, magazine ads, marketing material, collateral, direct mail, brochures, posters and much more with Adobe Creative Suite.

• Sent artwork to specialty printers and vendors to put logos and designs on water bottles, clothing, dance floors, neon signs, ice sculptures, video projectors, gobos, and backdrops.

• Maintained company website, and social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Produced artwork for digital media, email and web marketing, along with editing and uploading photos emailed to me from event photographers and photo shoots.

• Worked on-site at event setup to ensure all production décor is setup correctly, and to lend an artistic eye to ensure overall look met our high standards

• Administrative duties such as ordering materials, and accurate accounting through documentation and monitoring of time spent on projects.

2005- 2006 Graphic Designer, Express Signs

Design and production assistant for fast paced sign company.

• Vector and bitmap image manipulation for custom sign layouts and logo design using Flexi Sign Pro, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Strong knowledge of CMYK and Pantone color matching for printing on commercial printers.

• Formatted final designs for cutting vinyl graphics on a plotter, and thermal printer.

• Worked in production to assemble signs, applied vinyl to vehicles, and installed signs on job sites.

2001-2005 3D Artist/Animator, Leaping Lizard Software

Published Games: Centipede for Dreamcast, Monopoly Casino for PC, Magic: the Gathering Online for PC, and Bicycle Casino 2005 for Xbox. Our most successful game was Magic: The Gathering Online. This "pay for play" game was based upon the tradable card game. It was among the most profitable online games on release.

• Worked with artists and programmers for Windows, Dreamcast and Xbox game development.

• 2D concept art for character and environment design.

• Low poly and cinematic 3D modeling, texturing and animation.

• UI design, and multiple “skins” so user can customize overall game appearance.

• Worked with programmers to format all 2D and 3D graphics into our game engine.

• Designed all logos, mailers, signs, web graphics and any marketing material for a small shower door installation company.
