TypeWell Transcriber, various March **11 - Present

Completed the TypeWell Transcriber training and worked at Spokane Community College performing in-class transcribing services for Hard of Hearing clients.

Interpreter, Spokane Public Schools, Spokane WA May 2010 - Present

Staff Sign Language Interpreter within a second grade classroom. Worked with the Special Education teacher as well as the classroom teacher and Teacher of the Deaf to create a team environment for the student’s benefit. Provided interpretation services throughout the day for the hearing impaired student. Provided interpreting services for various after school activities around the district as needed.

Before/After School Supervisor, Spokane Public Schools, 2005-2010

Worked at Linwood Elementary within District 81 supervising various areas around the school for students arriving before school or waiting for the bus after school. Also worked with the after school program, providing creative classes for the students to take part in.

Preschool Teacher, Northview Christian School, Spokane, WA 2006-2007

Managed a classroom of nine 3-year old children to ensure a creative and enjoyable learning environment. Worked with the fellow staff members to share ideas and gain insight in areas that were new to me. Designed the classroom style to accommodate the students and their needs.

Sign Language Interpreter, various 1995-1999, 2007-present

Work as an American Sign Language Interpreter at Spokane Community College, substitute for Mead and District 81, and occasionally do community interpreting. Work to understand the client and meet their needs in regards to mode of communication and setting. Volunteer interpret at Life Center Church.
