Wrote comments submitted before the Federal Communications Commission on various policy issues including minority broadcast ownership, and cable a la carte for nationally recognized nonprofit media organizations. Represented broadcasters in the sale and acquisition of radio and television stations. Counsel broadcast clients on various FCC regulations and compliance issues.
Accomplishments: * Wrote arguments filed on behalf of a mid-sized media company that led the FCC to levy the largest fine against a broadcaster in its history.
* Negotiated on behalf of the largest African American owned newspaper in the Western region to close on an historic deal to purchase a radio station as part of post-Katrina restoration efforts in New Orleans.
