In 1979 The Trammell Crow Company, the nation’s largest private developer, re-entered the apartment business. Over the next 6 years as Sr. Project Manager, I managed all of its construction endeavors which included the successful construction of over 4,000 apartment units in Texas, Oklahoma and Illinois as well as a variety of select commercial structures for the Crow Family with a total contract value in excess of 200 million dollars.
In March of 1983, The Chaser Company, Crow’s general contracting company, was formed. As its President and through the end of 1984, we were successful in acquiring over $50 million in contracts for the construction of residential and commercial projects throughout the Southwest.

During my tenure at the Southland Corp., had total responsible for the construction of 55 new 7-11 stores both free standing and lessor, and the remodeling of 45 stores ranging in degree from minor face lift to complete gut/rebuild. Geographic area of responsibility included all of South Texas.
