QA Team Lead

Currently working as a Quality Assurance lead for Quest’s Unified data Protection Products - vRanger Pro, RME (Recovery Manager for Exchange) using Agile principles.

vRanger Pro is a Quest Software’s flagship product and provides IT companies to manage their virtual environments with a simple and efficient method for backing up and recovering their virtual environments. vRanger Pro supports major vmware environments, all Windows OS’s and various language OS’s.

RME enables application level recovery of MS Exchange DB. The product uses vRanger Pro as the recovery agent to the exchange Backups.

I worked as a Senior QA Analyst on the Dell | LTG Web application Dell Download Store.

Download Store is a web application that allows the end users to download the software without any hassles of packaging and mailing. User can download the software directly from the download store. The application is built on using the ASP.Net Web Parts, Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 and Microsoft Share point technology to provide a comprehensive solution for many business scenarios.

As a Senior QA Analyst I was involved in testing various modules of the application, testing the web parts, creating and testing catalogs, verifying the products in the catalog, creating the discounts and coupons that can be used by various products, verifying the end users profiles and orders portfolios and also tested the bits for the download products that were used in the application. Agile methodology (Scrum) was used in this project with very aggressive schedule.

Application allows operators to graphically monitor and control the building environment. This allows the operator to use the applications together instead of separately and to save time by not having to switch to and from other applications or re-enter the same information.

As a QA Analyst I was involved in testing various modules of the application in Windows based version of Insight and Web based version “Apogee Go” of Insight application to make sure the application is interacting properly with all the product hardware and is working as per customer requirements.

This system was used by 3000 users over 3- SQL/ORACLE servers across Canada and over sea. I worked on their order distribution system. The website had main modules to place, process, billing, shipping, invoice handling and inventory control. I mainly worked on the billing and the inventory module.
