INDUSTRIAL GRADE ROBOTIC ARM -National Instruments/Alectrono March,2011-June,2011

OBJECTIVE :-

Our objective is to create a robot arm with claws that simulate the opening and closing motions. The model will be created in a virtual way through Open GUI programming.

ABSTRACT :-

A common control mechanism, for small robots, is to control the velocity of a motor .It is easy to predict when motor will hit the set point velocity or reach zero. That is just the Velocity/acceleration. What is harder is predicting when to set the velocity to zero in order to stop on a pre-determined point.

A robotic arm can be classified as articulated and not articulated It’s more autonomous than a simple mechanic arm and can be used to lift small parts with high precision and velocity. It’s generally used in tasks such as: welding, painting, assembling, packaging,storage, product inspection and test, using to that purpose final actuators.

Academic Achievements

1. Won MOCK RECRUITMENT in SILICA’10 fest held in AMC Engg College.

2. Member of the core committee of college fest SLICA’10.

3. Actively participated in fund raising for inter collegiate fest MELANJ’08.
