EXPERIENCES:
05 JUL 2003 – 02 JUN 2011: Category II Linguist – L3 Communications, Reston, Virginia.
Duties: Kuwait, 202d Military Intelligence Battalion, B Company, APO AE 09366. I provided professional translations services by speaking, reading and writing fluent Arabic, general language and cultural support of ongoing national security operation; for U.S. Military personnel. Interpret spoken communications during interviews, meetings, and conferences. Translate written documents, newspaper articles, and other written media. I provided the United States Army (Department of Defense), with Contractor support to OIF/OEF, while deployed to Kuwait and Iraq theaters. I scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information; translate foreign language documents; identify and extract information components meeting military information requirements; provide input to reports; provide operational contract linguist support to U.S. Army operations in various locations within Kuwait. I provided general linguist support for military operations and interpret during interviews, meeting, and conferences. I interpret and translate written and spoken Arabic communications at a college level, and Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) level 4. I transcribe and analyze verbal Arabic communications at a college level, and ILR 4. I perform document exploitation; Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information. I translate and review foreign language documents. Identifying and extracting information components meeting military information requirement list criteria. I provided input to reports; I was required to work 12-hour shifts and in excess of 60-hour weeks in order to provide continuous contract linguist support that this 24 x 7 operation requires. I was available for worldwide deployment as the mission dictates. At a minimum I was required to have excellent command of Arabic combination language as well as strong verbal and written American English skills (grammar, vocabulary, idioms, and spelling) because this work product was prepared in English.

Duties: I was responsible and accountable for the maintenance of appropriate security measures designed to protect the health and welfare of patients, visitors and staff. I provided surveillance of the hospital property and surrounding grounds to include parking lots. Assign and maintain appropriate access to the secure entry points of the facility and gated parking lots.
