Senior Director of Franchise Development – Franchise Dynamics December 2010 – May 2011

In 2010, I associated with Franchise Dynamics to sell national franchises for Money Mizer Pawns & Jewelers Franchise and Hair Wizards Franchise. As such, I was the primary contact for national and international leads interested in the Money Mizer Pawns & Hair Wizards Franchise portfolio of products. The Vice President of Business Development was my direct report, although I often reported directly to the CEO. I qualified leads, conducted discovery events, and negotiated licensing agreements. During my tenure, Money Mizer Pawns & Jewelers expanded into two new markets. I was instrumental in closing deals in Texas and Florida. Territory Sales Manager December 2009 – December 2010

AutoZone Auto Parts

I joined AutoZone in 2009 to expand their commercial department to develop and cultivate existing and potential commercial customers for a specified territory group of retail store locations. I was the primary contact for 8 commercial stores to shared responsibility for the effective operation of the commercial business to include sales and profitability, and I work closely with the Store Manager, and Commercial Manager to achieve commercial sales and operational objectives. I contributed to a 35% increase in revenue and I brought in a total of $54,600 of commercial sales a year. Increase the weekly commercial sales average from $4,500 to $10,500. I was instrumental in assisting and conducting open house for new customer. I assisted with promoting the stocking program. I qualified leads, conducted discovery events, and negotiated licensing agreements. The Senior Franchise Development was my direct report, although I often reported directly to the Vice President of Franchise Division. During my first year with RadioShack Corporation, I contributed to a 7% increase in revenue and I brought in a total of $300,000 of license fees at an 85% gross profit. In addition, I helped licensees increase their sales and margins through active support and training initiatives. Fluent in Spanish, I was the go-to person for Latin speaking sectors. I helped licensees in the transfer sales of a franchise and expanding into multi locations franchisee. I was instrumental in assisting and conducting national and international expo events.

Franchise International Development - LINE-X Franchise Development Corporation January 2005 – August 2008

I joined LFDC in 2005 to expand their distribution internationally. As such, I was the primary contact for global leads interested in the LINE-X portfolio of products. The Vice President of Business Development was my direct report, although I often reported directly to the CEO. I qualified leads, conducted discovery events, and negotiated licensing agreements. During my tenure, the company expanded into 5 new markets. I was instrumental in closing deals in Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, and Kuwait. During my first year with LFDC, I contributed to a 9% increase in revenue and 12% increase in EBITDA, despite market declines of 25-30%. I brought in a total of $1,700.000 of license fees at an 87% gross profit. I helped licensees increase their sales and margins through active support and training initiatives. International Distribution Manager - L & M Goodyear Tire

March 1993 – December 2004

In 1993, I associated with L & M Goodyear Tire Corporation to expand their distribution internationally. As such, I was the primary contact for global leads interested in the L & M Goodyear Tire Corporation portfolio of products. The CEO was my direct report. I qualified leads, negotiated licensing agreements, up-date rate of exchange; file documents for importation norms permits, negotiated transportation fees. During my first year with L & M Goodyear Tire Corporation, I contributed to a 15% increase in revenue and brought in a total of $1,200,000 in tires sales at 45% gross profit. I was instrumental in the importation of auto parts and establishing an auto parts program for 4-inventory turn over a year. I was instrumental in translating the free preventative maintenance analysis for the service department. I was instrumental in creating a POS program for retail customer service. I contributed to translate the tires warranty and auto service warranty in Spanish. I contributed in creating in Spanish the PMA form to inspect the vehicle and make recommendation to all customers. I was instrumental in closing deals in Ensenada, La Paz, Cabo San Lucas, San Quintin, Mexicali, Tijuana, México. I contributed to establish the credit program for tires and auto service purchases. Fluent in Spanish, I was the go-to person for Latin speaking sectors.

General Manager – May 1983 – February 1993

S & C Goodyear Tire & Service

I joined S & C Goodyear Tire to expand their dealer’s location from 3 to 11 Goodyear Dealers. As such, I contributed to opening new locations in Azusa, West Covina, La Puente, Covina, Industry, Upland, Orange, and Fullerton. During the first year of operation each store average $85,000 in retail business at a 65% gross profit, the mix of business was 65% service to 35% tires. I contributed to new store set up, opening inventory, furniture set up, POS set up, grand opening advertizing, employee hiring, employee training, and operation procedures set up. I was instrumental in creating new sales programs to increase tires sales by 27% each year. I brought in a total of $8.160, 000 the first year of gross sales for the new 8 stores. I was instrumental in creating new service sales programs, and sales incentive for sales and service employee. I contributed to new sales advertizing for all stores, created coupon discount on service sales. I was instrumental in creating new wholesale programs for tires dealers. I was instrumental in compliance with all BAR and OSHA regulation to prevent fines. I contributed to new sales and service training with all new employees. I was instrumental in driving service and tires sales to maintain a 28% increase each year. I was instrumental in the training of the new Goodyear POS program for all retail invoicing and operation accounting procedures, inventory control, tires and service ordering system. I contributed to the new auto parts suppliers for the best program for each store. I contributed to the new auto service inspection to help the in the service sales increase, and professional customer service. I was instrumental in maintaining and increasing new national account service and sales at 60% gross profit. Fluent in Spanish, I was the go-to person for Latin speaking sectors.
