WORK EXPERIENCE:

Department Manager

East Side Kroger Bloomington, IN (07/2008~05/2010)

My most recent position was as a department manager at Kroger by College Mall in

Bloomington. My duties were pricing items, bringing in special orders, managing the

vendors and sales represenatives to assure they are only doing things in the best

interest of the store, pricing items, making wine reccomendations, ect. I am looking

for another position to allow me more time with my daughter and to gain access back

in the dental field.

Bedford Dental Care in Bedford IN (07/06~07/08)

In this position I gained experience in working in a health setting with a variety

of patients. I was the OSHA coordinator for this office which required me to stay

up to date and enforce OSHA standards in the office. I gained experience in RCT,

almalgam & resin fillings on all tooth surfaces, oral surgery, orthodontics, TMJ

disorder treatments and evaluations, labratory procedures, ect.

I decided to include this job in my work experience because I feel as though it helped

me tremendously in my general work skills. It taught me how to work hard and how

to interact well with strangers. I feel totally comfortable with new people since

working this job and have come to greatly enjoy meeting them. I am happy I had the

chance to work this postion while going to school for dental assisting because it

provided me with a flexible schedual and valuable "elbow grease" experience. It taught

me to work for what I earn since the pay was very low and any additional income was

earned through tips given as a result of the service I provided.
