Under light supervision, researched topics, planned and performed experimentations, developed and built apparatuses, and analyzed results of projects sponsored by grants received by the sponsoring professor. For one year, worked under a grant provided by the Center for the Advancement of Vehicle Technology, to purify hydrogen streams for fuel cell applications with mixed-matrix membranes. Produced dense thin film, mixed matrix membranes of polyethersulfone, tested the flux, and analyzed the data in order to find the selectivity (of hydrogen over carbon monoxide) of the membrane. In addition to that, worked with a graduate student under a grant provided by NASA, to create a passive device for the removal of air from aerospace fluid loop coolant systems.
