Product design resulted in 2 patent applications which are still pending.
Turned around Product Engineering group to rapidly develop and prototype new products with minimal resources. Applied the principal of NIH (not invented here) to procure existing components developed for other diverse applications and customize them to meet the prototype generation products capable of 50% gross margins.
Developed production capability to validate capabilities and became approved supplier for Honeywell the largest avionic display manufacturer. This project required new process methods to be developed. Business potential was $5-7 million in sales with 75% gross margin. We succeeded in meeting and exceeding performance expectations of Honeywell.
Reorganized and Implemented product and process documentation to facilitate cohesive ISO registered operation. Implemented lean manufacturing and process controls that restructured the way new products were developed and manufactured to properly validate customer expectations.
