My primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. My position requires me to monitor, with little or no supervision, government and military railcar shipments(Intransit Visibility)Tracking,Customer Service Represenative and Liason, in which security and safety are paramount requirements. I work directly with the client_s (SDDC, Military Surface Deployment Distribution Command) customers, including top military officials, to identity and resolve problems without immediate supervisory direction. Rail Fleet Management Coordinator, responsible for managing all aspect of the Department of Defense rail fleet assets to include accountability and distribution of resources. Effectively managed and utilized empty rail car fleet to ensure adequate availability for external customers to avoid shortages in equipment. Received and fulfilled empty car requests from (DOD) activities. Provided centralized car demand forecasting and visibility of the fleet matching available equipment with empty car orders. Worked closely with Commercial rail carriers Ports and installations to ensure effective and efficient equipment utilization. Monitored cars moving in and out of shop for service and maintenance. Actively participated in the daily rail conference call among SDDC shippers, receivers and railroads to discuss current and future moves. Secret Security Clearance required. Daily conference with all major ports and installations for shipments of military movements. 5-17-06-to 12-6-07, 40 Hours per week, Rail Analyst Contractor with Intellitrans Government Solutions LLC, Traffic Management Specialist with the Surface Deployment Distribution Command (SDDC) Command Operations Center. Plan, coordinate, execute and monitor unit deployment and redeployment of JCS commands world-wide. Coordinate with various DOD agencies, and provide technical expertise to sponsored Command Post (CPX) and Field Training Exercises (FTX), and Sea Readiness Deployment Exercises (SEDREs) organizations; ensuring all training objectives are obtained. Identify, analyze and resolve operational issues within time constraints by monitoring exercise Situation Reports (SITREPS), Spot Reports (SPOTREPS) and provide in-transit visibility of equipment deploying into CENTCOM/ EUCOM areas of responsibility. Support Field Training Exercises (FTX) and Command Post Exercises (CPX) operations, by reviewing and analyzing critical Military Surface Deployment Distribution Command (MSDDC) transportation policies and procedures for contingencies ensuring units’ ability to perform under various tactical conditions. Interact with commercial carriers’ representatives, other organizations and transportation operating agencies to resolve problems associated with training exercises. Monitor commercial carriers’ performance by forecasting possible missed Latest Arrival Date (LAD) and Required Delivery Date (RDD); alerting the appropriate COCOM team members. Create and forward Contract Discrepancy Reports (CDR) to appointed Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for action against the ocean carrier. Study various transportation systems, army regulations, and MSDDC policies and provide technical expertise and guidance to major command level organizations. Review and analyze established MSDDC terminals SOP’s for contingencies and training exercises, providing deployment guidance to participating units., IT Department, and Accounting to investigate and resolve customer issues. 2-05/2-06 40 to 60 Hours per week, Logistics Specialist with Northtrop Grumman, Responsibilities included but not limited to working in all productive areas. Liable for all inventory discrepancies as well as all overstocked nuclear and non nuclear materials. Daily operations consisted of storing/entering data of all material received and shipped, issued, ordering and confirmation of delivery of Government and civilian materials. Process and expedite supply internally, prepare documentation, charts, files and reports. Oversea staging areas for materials to be expedited for vessels (reactors).
