Supervised 8 electrical inspectors and addressed problems that arose on a daily basis. Was on call for emergencies 24/7 that arose due to accidents or weather. Inspected average of 15 jobs per day on top of my lead responsibilities. I traveled to other L&I service locations to help with work overloads as needed. Job also involved issuance of tickets for non-compliance with the WAC/RCW’s. The issuance of tickets helped in keeping the general public safer from individuals doing wiring without licenses.

Shutdown construction, maintenance and installation of new equipment throughout refinery. Install 4160 volt switch rack and feeders. Installed 4160volt feeder and mcc for 200 hp vertical motor and controls, installed cable tray for 15kv wiring in catcracker unit. Installed lighting on exterior of towers for temporary and permanent use during and after the shutdown. All wiring was class 1 division 1&2 in the refinery.

Construction of switch rack for Coker Unit and additional foreman duties for the construction and maintenance of new unit. Installed 15 kv switch gear and transformer as well as 4160 volt feeders. All wiring installed in Class 1 Div. 1 wiring methods. I was responsible for the design and installation of the service and feeders that fed the new Coker Unit at the Texaco Refinery.

Duct banks and surface mounted rigid steel service raceways . Installation included wiring of computer control modules and knowledge of plc’s. Security clearance required for work on this facility.

Being an owner/operator involved doing the estimating, mobilizing to do the job, doing the work, collecting, book keeping and numerous other aspects of business.
