Dragons Lair Tattoos, Tattoo Artist ****-****
My first Tattoo job. I stumbled into it as a career while i was in school for Drafting. I saw the similarities between the two disciplines, but enjoyed the permanence of skin more than simple schematic drafting at the time. I have been doing Tattoos off and on ever since.
Luna Noir Studios, Creative Director, Content Creator 1994-1997
We were a chaotic group of young adults starting an entrepreneurship publishing company. We published
several Industry Rags (comics), and had 2 Comic titles that never got past the 3 issue milestone. It was a
wonderful experience. It created my Love of Printing that still exists to this day.
Stream, Macintosh Technical Support Specialist 1998-2000
UMAX clones. I also worked on the UMAX scanners and the notebooks. I supported Hardware
troubleshooting and software resolutions. I started out as a tech specialist for the UMAX clones, and
ended up a mac Lead for their scanners. I did enjoy the escalation aspect of the job.
Sir Speedy, Graphic Artist 2001-2002
My most important learning job. I learned what a true workflow was, how working as part of a team created
an end product. How to layout pages, envelopes, create letterheads and logos, brochures, even books. I did
not do the large format printing, but I was friends with the guy who did. I was also very valuable for my
Macintosh experience
Verio, Macintosh Internet Support Specialist 2003-2004
I was a Macintosh Specialist. Besides my obvious duty of taking phone calls and troubleshooting peoples
connections with very clumsy software for its time, I started my first Consultant Service “Mac Evo-
Solutions” which was out-call service, in-house phone support and a series of web tutorials, which were
not very good and led me back to school for web design and development.
Texas Crew-boats, Deckhand 2006-2007
Sometimes you just have to get away. I enjoyed my time on the ocean, and learned how to use teamwork,
because literally, work on the ocean can take lives. I was also a glorified custodian, but it was satisfying
work. During my two weeks off in-between excursions, i worked with a guy who did Safety Training Videos
for the Oil Industry in that area. I utilized much of my Photoshopping skills while he began teaching me
Compositing. It led me back to school for 3D animation, eventually.
InkShop Tattoos, Tattoo Artist 2008-2009
My last employee job. I had a wonderful boss, but there was simply not enough traffic to support 2
apprentices and 3 working artists. The most important thing i learned was how to put together a location
from scratch. I hope to do the same thing within the next 2-3 years myself.
