Techno-commercial expert having 9+ years experience in managing material sourcing & procurement activities and worked in various organizations in different layers. Currently engaged as a Global Material Sourcing manager to fulfill the requirements of Advanced API developments , existing production needs of 50 years old Indian generic pharmaceuticals giant RANBAXY LABORATORIES LIMITED .
Strategic vendor developments, procurements from qualified/approved vendors from domestic & Global sources especially from china , Inventory Management ,material delivery planning as per schedules , quality performance , sustainable saving improvements , regulatory & IP compliance , Develop and oversee operating budgets , data base management , Team management, Cross functional coordination are my key responsible areas.
Strong hold on procurements and business developments of custom synthesis, specialty chemicals given me the global exposure. Good understanding on IP, patent issues & related legal litigations as most of the advanced intermediates are to be developed as per the customer’s IPM requirements. My current profile objectives are to arrange RMIs and other key/non-key scientific inputs at the best possible cost from technically approved global vendors in shortest possible time. Designing strategies for early launch (FTF/DMF filing/ANDA) of products as per commercial manufacturing, process chemistry, IP and regulatory issues, organizational procurement goals by achieving targeted budget spend & savings.

Developmental sourcing & procurements of raw materials and API intermediates for advanced APIs for existing / new APIs complying regulatory requirements. Regular evaluation of stocks, cross functional coordination is my crucial functions to smoothen the project realization activity. • Regular sourcing from reliable global suppliers for project costing. Servicing internal customers like R&D, Technology developments team (TD) for initial costing & cost effective synthetic route finalization for in house API developments & IP fencing.
• Analyzing received quotations, generating Quotation Comparison Forms (QCF), data compilation, vendor negotiations and finalization by considering the vendor’s regulatory capabilities. Design risk mitigation plans for single source materials.
• Generation of RMI delivery planning for R&D, Pilot plant & plant as per project priorities, Material properties and manufacturing process.
• Coordination with the vendors on regular basis to resolve regulatory, IP & QA issues raised by concerned internal customers. Consignment deliveries & payment issues.
• To validate sources at R&D, plant QA for procurement of new RMIs for pilot plant and Exhibit batches for ~ 22 pilot plant and 10 Exhibit batches every year.
• ERP (SAP) based commercial transactions and Report generation on monthly basis, data generation for the presentations to top management on current sourcing and procurement efforts Vs Achievements.
