Job Summary:
Directed, coordinated, and controlled all aspects of the operating functions, processes, and staff of the Center while demonstrating the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical operations such as:
* Manage case volumes ranging from 3,000-4,000 annually
* Manage and supervise employment of 15+ full-time and PRN employees
* Develop and insure compliance with the ever changing healthcare requirements by complying with Texas Department of Health, AORN, APIC, SGNA, and JACHO standards
* Promote the implementation of positive customer relations by the employees and physicians
* Managed and controlled the multi-disciplinary activities required providing a safe environment for patients undergoing surgical intervention. Also responsible for the direction and supervision of Clinical Staff to ensure safe, efficient and therapeutically effective care.
* Process the Credentialing of practitioners

* Supervise perioperative staff, consisting of nursing, scrub technicians, patient care assistant, SPD and inventory
* Perform evaluations for perioperative staff
* Coordinate staff according to surgical cases, block times and anesthesia availability
* Created forms such as: Nurses Notes, Anesthesia Records, Physicians orders and Comprehensive Surgical Checklist along with updating and revising policies and procedures according to CMS/JACHO requirements. Presented to Governing Body and Medical Director for approval
* Received certificate in Infection Control, supervised implant
And bone/tissue follow-up with Physician’s offices and current with protocol.
