Summary: Have over 20 years NC Programming experience. Proficient using
CATIA v. 5 or Unigraphics to create NC Programs for 3, 4,
and 5-axis milling machines. Proficient in verifying NC Programs
using Vericut. Have 5 years APT 370 experience. Used Visual Basic to write CAD and postprocessor applications. Have a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
Work Experience:
August, 2000 NC Programmer, Omnicut Inc, Elgin, OR. Used Unigraphics
till NX6 and Catia v. 5 to create 2, 3 and 5-axis NC
Present Programs. Required planning the various stages of
manufacturing, selecting tools, creating the programs,
then supporting the setup and running of the parts. Used
Vericut to verify motion. Used Visual Basic to write Postprocessors and CAD applications.
February, 2000 Contractor, AIDC, Taichung, Taiwan. Used CATIA to create
till solids and surfaces for 5-axis NC Programs. Wrote IUA’s
July, 2000 for CATIA to automate various tasks. Wrote programs for a wide variety of machines including Mazaks and Cincinnati.
July, 1999 Contractor, TVS, Elgin, OR. Used Visual Basic 6.0
till to create postprocessors and database applications.
February, 2000 Required advanced math skills and programming logic.
November, 1998 Contractor, Philips, Eindhoven, Neitherlands. Used
till Unigraphics V.13 to create NC Programs for a C-17
June, 1999 Pylonstub. Created solid models of tooling concept and generated theoretical data for manufacturing MF. Used extensive surfacing and modeling concepts to
achieve GD&T specifications for part. Used Visual Basic 6.0 to write utilities for manufacturing.
January, 1998 Contractor, Canadair, Montreal, PQ. Used CATIA to
till program production parts. Created solids and surfaces
November, 1998 to facilitate machining of the parts. Created part programs for Mazaks, Enshus and Jobs machines.
July, 1997- Contractor, Northrop, Hawthorne, CA. Used CATIA to
January, 1998 generate data for QA to check 747 skins. Required
Skills in creating surfaces and manipulating solids.
Used ANSI Y14.5 extensively to interpret Eng.Dwg.
May, 1997- N.C. Programmer, Honeycutt Machining, Mukilteo, WA.
July, 1997 Helped set up a new Mori Seiki SH-50 4-axis horizontal machining center with an eight station pallet changer. Utilized the Fanuc controller to program sub-programs and macros into the machine to be utilized in multiple part set-ups. Used SmartCAM to program 4 axis parts.
September, 1996- N.C. Programmer, Wilson Products, Auburn, WA. Used
April, 1997 CATIA to make wireframe models of parts, then used NCL to
generate 3, 4 and 5 axis programs. Used the UNIX
operating system on a daily basis to do basic system
administrative responsibilities.
January, 1996- N.C. Programmer, UNC Aerostructures, Everett, WA. Used
August, 1996 CATIA to make wireframe models of parts and produce N.C programs from the wireframes. Also used NCL to generate 3, 4 and 5 axis programs. Used Vericut to check cutter path. Did maintenance and incorporated changes on APT programs.
November, 1994- Hourly employee, Boise Cascade Corp., Elgin, OR.
January, 1996
June, 1994- Hourly employee, Via Security Network, Ottawa, ONT,
August, 1994 Canada.
January, 1990 - Contractor, Canadair, Montreal, PQ. Wrote 3 and 4
July, 1990 axis part programs in APT 370 AC for commercial aircraft. Did 5 axis parts on 4 axis machining centers. Used CADAM geometry generator to create geometry definitions.
July, 1989 - N. C. Engineer, General Dynamics, Abilene, TX. Wrote
January, 1990 3, 4, and 5 axis parts in APT 370 AC. Used a variety of manufacturing methods. Also became familiar with a
large number of different post-processors which required manipulating the program to force the proper output codes. Used CATIA to create three-dimensional
wireframes from engineering blueprints.
August, 1985 - Senior N. C. Programmer, Northrop, Hawthorne, CA.
July, 1988 Completed a nine-month training program for N. C. Programmers. Rotated through several departments including tool design and the machine shop. Also completed a two-month APT 370 class with a 96%. Had a DOD secret clearance.
Education:
August, 1990 - Graduated cum laud with a Masters of Theology from
till Dallas Theological Seminary. Was also a student there
May, 1993 from August, 1988 to July, 1989.
June, 1985 - Graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology, Klamath
Falls, OR, with a Bachelors of Science in manufacturing Engineering Technology. Completed classes in Calculus, Trigonometry, technical writing and APT 360. Had a 3.22 GPA on the 4.00 scale.
