Dear Hiring Personnel:
I have been informed that your facility has a job opportunity open for a medical assistant. As Western Career College graduate, I am interested in working as a Medical Assistant for your organization. I am an expert when it comes to medical assisting, with over 3 years of experience to offer you. Enclosed is a resume as a first step in exploring the possibilities of employment with your organization.
My most recent experience was working for a pediatric office in a fast pace community clinic. I had to apply all skills I learned to make a good environment for the doctor’s office. I was responsible for the rooming of patients, vital signs, administering injections, EKG’s, and setting trays for exams and procedures in the back office. As in front office, I had to prepare patients charts, check eligibility, schedule appointments, file numerically, and alphabetical, sort mail, answer phones, purge and restore old charts. In addition, I also helped the doctor fax prescriptions and prepare specimens to be sent to the laboratory and schedule procedures. As a part of good teamwork I was also responsible for showing newly externs the roles and responsibilities of the doctor’s office.
As a Medical Assistant with your organization, I would bring a variety of skills to your facility and focus on the importance of what needs to be done. I would appreciate talking with you in person on what your standards and needs are of the facility and how my skills can be of assistance to you. I can be reached at the phone number above and or e-mail above. I look forward in hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Akia Grant
