Responsible for:
•Fully responsible for rig up, rig down and all sensor calibration, gas system calibration including all software setting and data setting.
•Operating and maintaining a real-time computer-based data acquisition system, the advanced logging system which records all aspects of rig activity.
•Taking on the primary health and safety role for the well through constant monitoring of all critical drilling parameters.
•Provide technical/operational advice while drilling and maintaining up-to-date well progress data, subsurface maps and general Geological information.
•Regular and frequent maintenance and calibration checks of sensors, gas, and other field equipments.
•Quality control of geological data set, evaluation and reporting of lithostratigraphy and drilling data.
•Monitor and evaluate all data in order to identify abnormal indications of unforeseen or hazardous events, inform the relevant drilling personnel of potential dangers, indications of drilling assembly wear/failure, etc.
•Advise the drilling personnel of any significant lithology change, or other geological parameter, which might affect the safe and efficient drilling of the well.
•Assist the head subsurface operations in the integrated analysis of well data and in preparing intermediate and final well report.

•Supervision and coordination of all aspects of geological well site operations with contractors and the company to ensure that well objectives are achieved on time.
•Send geological reports to the office each morning giving details of the drilling activities, lithologies encountered, assignment of stratigraphic tops, cutting description, hydrocarbon shows, gas analysis, correlations, MWD/LWD and directional drilling data etc.
•Perform Local Risk Assessments to ensure that hazardous operations are minimized, controlled or procedures are put in place to minimize the hazardous nature of the operation
•Successfully complete additional advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.
•Assisting in well test operations, core recovery and description when needed.
