The University of Texas at Dallas. Richardson, TX December, 2011
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering GPA: 3.7
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India. June, 2009
Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering GPA: 3.5
Work Experience:
Mechanical Engineer Intern, Cummins Inc, Columbus, Indiana. May, 2011 – August, 2011
Completed three projects successfully, two of which are complex problem solving type, by utilizing FTA
analysis. Trained in basic IDFMEA, FTA and 6-Sigma methods.
Design Engineer Intern, N.T.P.C., Andhra Pradesh, India. December, 2008 – June, 2009
Addressed design change requests bearing the responsibility of student team leader. Designed the rotor of
a turbine driven boiler feed pump using Pro E. Analyzed the performance of the Pump by calculating the
efficiency of the plant unit. Designed the handling and maintenance steps for the pump. Completed a
problem solving competition that identifies the issues of the pump in first place.
Mechanical Engineer Intern, B.H.E.L., Hyderabad, India. April, 2006 – June, 2006
Generated the drawing of a Turbine Driven Boiler Feed Pump by using the CAD/CAM tools. Provided a
detailed cost analysis by incorporating all the costs involved in transforming a raw material into a
finished product.
Teacher’s Assistant, University of Texas at Dallas, Texas. January, 2010 – December, 2011
Provided one on one tutoring, taught large group of students, developed course material, authored lab
manuals, prepared and graded the homework assignments and tests. Assisted in maintenance of Plasma
Laboratory at the Natural Science and Engineering Research Laboratories.

Photolithography, Adobe Photoshop, MS Office Suite, Programming Languages: ‘C’
Projects:
Super Hydrophobic Surfaces: Designed a boiling chamber to observe the boiling patterns in boiling
water. Studying the super hydrophobic surfaces and the bubble nucleation patterns on them.
Structural Design: Designed a compressor and a wind turbine as apart of course requirement structural
design projects to find out the Factor of Safety, Maximum Stress a material can handle and Modes of
Vibration. Both projects were remarked as the best projects submitted.
Body Armor: Designed schematic of a Ballistic Body Armor by considering various materials to
optimize the aerial density. For its analysis and generality, the project was remarked as one of the best
projects submitted.
Automobile Engineering: Analyzed the performance of a 4 stroke spark and compression ignition
engines by calculating the efficiencies and charting a heat balance sheet.
