April 2011-Present Quality Manager for Shiloh Industries, Dickson, Tennessee. Quality Manager for a TS 16949 certified metal stamping and welded assembly plant. Responsible for the total quality function serving primarily the automotive and transportation industries.

2009- September 2010 Site Manager for J.A. King at Mercedes Benz, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Manager of an ISO 17025 Calibration Lab on the MBUSI site. Responsible for the calibration and maintenance of all torque control tooling and measurement equipment at the MBUSI site. Advised Quality and Engineering on tool selection and problem resolution. Maintained measurement matrix on effectiveness of operation.

2005-2009 Section Manager of Operations at Nissan North America, Smyrna, Tennessee. Responsible for the quality control function of assembled vehicles at Smyrna plant. Established and maintained quality reporting to upper management on a daily basis. Monitored check points and put in corrective actions when necessary. Worked with area managers on problem solving skills especially 5 Whys and Q.C. Story. ISO9001 management rep; was effective in preparing vehicle assembly to pass ISO9001 Certification. Only Nissan plant to achieve that status. Instituted lean manufacturing (Nissan Production Way) in vehicle assembly plant.

2000-2005 Section Manager of Quality for Nissan North America, Smyrna, Tennessee. Responsible for quality control function for engine assembly, frame production, plastics and tire/wheel. Managed the Quality Engineering function for trim and chassis. Effective in reducing alignment warranty by 75% using data tracking and reducing variables. Managed the Genba Kanri function for Component plant. Responsible for tracking of warranty and quality matrix for these areas.

1996-2000 Section Manager of Operations for Nissan North America, Smyrna, Tennessee. Responsible for vehicle production of chassis area and final assembly. Established shop floor principles for area managers. This was tracking of quality defects and putting in countermeasures to stop recurrence

1994-1996 Section Manager of Engineering Support, Nissan North America, Smyrna Tennessee. Responsible for the management of receiving inspection, body and stamping CMM area, and Materials Lab. Established PPM activity in receiving inspection for tracking problem suppliers. Purchased gages for checking problem parts. Established calibration schedules for all lab equipment, wrote procedures, established test matrix and tracking of test results. Improved overall CMM and Materials Lab management. Established material lab as a source of information utilizing lab metallurgical personnel, SCM capabilities, steel testing procedures established working with suppliers. Learned circle grid analysis from steel suppliers and it use in problem solving.

1990-1994 Section Manager of Quality for Nissan North America Component Plant. Start up of Engine Assembly at Smyrna. Established initial quality program for engine assembly as well as plastics injection and blow mold operations. Ran initial capability analysis of all torque related equipment for engine assembly and maintained throughout the production cycle.

1975-1990 Supervisor of Quality at General Motors Saginaw Division, Athens, Alabama. Manager of Tool Gage. Responsible for First Article inspection of all incoming material and all assembled product. Responsible for all production gages, their upkeep and calibration. Responsible for all quality checks of machined parts and check of all heat treat operations.
