Assistant Vice President – Operations/Client Services (2007-2012)

• Created a client services unit whose main objective was to meet with customers/brokers on an as needed basis to present and explain retrospectively rated adjustments completed by Chartis Insurance.

• Created a “Specialty Team” which reallocated staff to handle the workflow of accounts. During 2011, a total of 80 accounts were reviewed which resulted in over $250 Million in correcting entries. Accounts included Bechtel, Laidlaw Transportation, Allied Waste, Wal-Mart, and Marriott.

• Conducted meetings with Chartis Regional Offices to discuss specific issues and operations in general as they related to the handling and servicing of loss sensitive accounts. Implemented an “Insured” version of our broker presentation to educate their understanding of what Chartis’s “Operations” can offer.

• Partnered with the Chartis Regional Business Development Managers and marketing/sales staff to achieve organizational goals. Presentations presented at Producer Councils, attending six during 2011. “Chartis Overview” meetings presented to over seventy brokers in 2011. Individual broker account reviews focusing on over forty individual accounts in 2011.

• Created a Marketing brochure which highlighted accomplishments, objectives, future enhancements and contacts. Broker reaction to this document has been very positive.

• Created a loss sensitive training class designed to improve the knowledge within the brokerage community. The training is extremely interactive, and is designed more to middle market brokers. During 2011, classes were given at the Louisiana Producer Council as well as to over 50 brokers including Hub, Hylant Group, Lockton and AON.

Senior Director, (2003-2007)

• Created training materials for new hires and existing staff with regards to the various operations with the group.

• Created a “SWAT” Team to effectively and efficiently resolve any broker/insured complaints in an expedited manner.

• Instituted a “Dispute Resolution Team” to assist brokers and insureds in resolving any disputes with their retrospective adjustments including but not limited to: Premium Audits, Rates, Line of Business Coverage’s and Premium Credit.

Director, (2000-2003)

• Responsible for the production of sixty professionals whose responsibilities included preparation of retrospectively rated adjustments, premium reconciliations, and actuarially approved security calculations for American International Groups (AIG) Primary Casualty Loss Sensitive Business.

Controller

• Opened a factory from ground up in the Dominican Republic that manufactured “Trim” labels, tags and other product identification material for garment manufacturers. Initialized a new general ledger package and completely trained a bilingual controller. Training included accounts receivable and payable, inventory management, general ledger entries and all reporting. The controller’s position included payroll, fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, bank reconciliation, and budgeting.

• Responsibilities included financial administration of three company owned subsidiaries, maintaining the company’s revenues and expenses, as well as full monthly financial statement preparation (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows).
