Plant Superintendent/Toledo 2005 – June 2007
Manage an 80,000 square foot manufacturing operation encompassing 3 shifts performing 5 different operations. Supervise 3 foremen with indirect responsibility of 38 union employees. Involved in the human resource issues, hiring process/performance reviews, disciplinary actions, vacations/overtime scheduling, and ISO training. Initiate/conduct weekly production meetings. Schedule truck maintenance and obtain quotations from vendors for capital expenditures.
• Part of the management team that was involved in the process of ISO certification
• Within the first month as Plant Superintendent increased on-time delivery to 99.8% from 96%.
• Over a 2 month period increased the warehouse space significantly which resulted in better flow efficiency.
• Decreased PML to 32% from 48%.
• Over a 1 year period the 5 operations did not have a recordable worker’s compensation injury.
