OBJECTIVES: To obtain Third-class stationary engineer position

HIGHLIGHTS OF QUALIFICATION:

• Extensive experience in operation, analysis, troubleshooting and repair of: boilers, steam turbines, pumps, compressors and a large variety of other building and industrial equipment, including electrical and pneumatic controls, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, power, refrigeration and water treatment systems

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/DUTIES:

• Operate, maintain, trouble-shoot and repair equipment which include, but are not limited to: HVAC, boilers, exhaust fans, distribution of steam/compressed air and chlorine, water treatment systems

• Continually check all phases of the operation for difficulties or irregularities, troubleshooting as necessary, by consulting manufacture’s drawings and manuals

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs, following Preventative Maintenance System

• Interpretation of various equipment schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings, as necessary

• Provide first response to leaks and other failures of equipment

• Monitor and operate satellite refrigeration equipment in/for production areas

• Measure and monitor boiler systems’ temperature, fuel flow and pressure

• Control testing of water samples to determine: chloride/ fluoride levels, pH, saturation index. Take necessary action to maintain the systems within prescribed limits

• Analyze and report discrepancies in operation and/or conditions in a timely manner

• Operate automated or computerized control systems

• Direct/co-ordinate contract maintenance personnel

• Interact with government authority for safety and compliance requirements

• Perform safety checks and write machinery/plant condition reports

• Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures, and efficiency improvements

• Providing expert electrical and electronic support to manufacturing operations, including machine-made interfaces and pneumatic systems

• Various kinds of housekeeping work to maintain clean, professional, and safe workspace

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Engineer

CERTIFICATIONS OF QUALIFICATION:

4th class Stationary Engineer certification

Currently in the process of obtaining 3rd grade certification

Red Seal Inter-Provincial Electrician Certification of Canada
