Manufacturing Engineering Intern

PROFESSIONAL ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

Significant printed circuit design skills utilizing VAX-layout-software (VLS). Experience designing multi-layer printed circuit boards utilizing 25/25, 10/15, 8/8, 4/4 etch technologies and etch routing techniques. Performed project planning with engineering to ensure designs were done to their criteria. Auto routing and manual routing of complex multiple layer surface mount, component through mount, and mixed mount (through board and surface mount) technologies. Experience using Auto-Cad.

Extensive experience troubleshooting and repairing computer controlled DIP, VCD, and Sequencer machines. Diagnoses of pneumatic, vacuum, mechanical, and electronic feedback systems and control units. Designed operator training manuals. Trained machine operators and technicians on a daily basis. Interfaced with manufacturing, test engineering, and management to ensure quality product output goals were being met on a timely basis. Technical writing consisted of written interface between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift techs in order to communicate problems and solutions to machine oriented downtime. Attended team communication meetings with shift technicians on a daily basis. Filled in for the machine insertion area Supervisor on a daily basis when necessary.

Experience troubleshooting CPU’s and I/O boards down to the component level. Experience troubleshooting power supply units down to the discrete and IC level.

Can perform basic electronics work such as soldering, wiring, work from schematics, etc.
