In addition, I worked with the applications teams in restoring data, loading Vertex updates, and in coordinating changes in backup’s schedules to perform system maintenance.

Originally hired as the web developer for the City of Carrollton, TX. My responsibilities included all support of the City of Carrollton website. In this role I used Classic ASP, VBScript, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL. While in this position, I also served as the backup AS/400 Systems Administrator. Later, as part of the restructuring of the IT department, I was offered the AS/400 Systems Administrator position. In this role, I was responsible for support of all AS/400 functions, including application maintenance, and all support for the various applications running on the AS/400. While in this position, I also served as the backup web developer.

While there, I completed a project to move our Company Codes application that was manually serviced by staff in our office to a self-service application on the web for our clients. In order to complete this project, I was required to learn and develop the application using Classic ASP, Stored Procedures, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and VBScript. For development tools, I used Microsoft Visual Studio; versions 2003, and 2005, including Visual SourceSafe, Query Analyzer, and Enterprise Manager.

Responsible for sales and marketing for all DCS developed AS/400 based solutions. My duties
included the complete sales cycle from lead generation through ads placed in trade publications, as well as ad banners which ran on the Midrange Computing website, to order processing and telephone support to set-up the solutions at the client sites. The trade publication advertisements were conceived and developed by me. The ad banners were also conceived and developed by me using PaintShop Pro©, and Animagic© software for animation effects. I also redesigned the entire DCS website. I completed this project using HTML and notepad. During my last full year at DCS, I increased product sales over 20%, and generated over $150,000 in sales of the AS/400 based solutions.
