• Pastoral care and supervision are focused at the central adult hospital, an 800+ bed tertiary care facility.
• Pastoral responsibilities in supervisory education, adult psychiatry unit and on call rotation in the children and adult in three hospitals: Baptist-Downtown, Baptist-South, and Baptist-Beaches.
• A supervisor candidate in October 2005 and supervised summers interns and externs for four years and withholds this process for self-care.
• Participated in bi-weekly meetings at North Central Florida, a joint effort in the educational process from Florida Hospital in Orlando, Tampa General Hospital and Baptist Health.
Chaplain (PRN), on-call rotation for entire hospital
Mayo Clinic, San Pablo Road. Jacksonville, Florida, February 2006-present
• Provide spiritual support to staff, patient and families on patients with neurological diseases such as Alzheimer and Parkinson’s patients. It is a new 214-bed facility with 16 operating rooms, transplant and epilepsy units, and advanced cardiac and neuro-surgery facilities. It also provides facility for cancer studies a facility for The Griffin Cancer Research Building.
• Offer spiritual care to patient and families developing spiritual assessment, family intervention, direct patient care for patients who are in the process of organ-tissue, pre-transplant (i.e., liver, lung, heart, kidney, pancreas, intestine) up to the end-stage process serving the Intensive-Critical care units.
• Ensure bereavement and grief support, counseling, patient-centered ritual and prayer, interdisciplinary teamwork, participation in medical conferences, documentation in medical record, crisis management and appropriate use of spiritual resources.
Weekend House Manager

• Pastoral and emotional support, hospitality (i.e., continuity of care), in harnessing and enhances interpersonal relationships with doctor, nurse, social service department that gives referral service for family and patient. Patients from 18 years of age or younger who are receiving treatment in Jacksonville medical facility centers such as Nemours, Wolfson, Shands, Protons, Brooks, etc. for a temporary lodging facility to critically, chronically ill and seriously injured children and their families.
Chaplain Resident
Mt. Diablo Medical and Pavilion (Behavioral Health) Center, Concord, CA, March 2003-August 2004.
• Successfully finished 6 units of CPE and the highlights of educational experiences revolved around the Oncology and Behavioral unit for children, adolescent and adult patients:>Oncology, in-patient unit- provided spiritual care through the spectrum of the cancer experience from diagnosis through death and bereavement care.
>Radiation, Oncology, offered spiritual and emotional support to outpatients and family members on one-on-one care (waiting room area).
>Psychiatry unit- lead groups for children, adolescent and Level 1&2 adults psyche patients. Other units served: ER (adult), CCU, Orthopedic/Surgical, Renal-Telemetry, Short-Stay (pre-op/post op).
• Ministry to the Hospital Community: offered a hospitable, caring and daily presence on the units through interfaith religious rituals like “blessing of hands,” “special activities on Pastoral Care week, participated in the leading of the “Ash Wednesday” in Lenten season and giving out of “inspirational cards” to patients, family members and staff.
• Community Outreach: Participating in creation of a community-wide “Health and Spirituality Dialogue” – an event for local and spiritual and religious leaders and healthcare professionals in Concord, CA areas.
