Vodafone Egypt Corporate Website Revamp 2

The aim of this project was to change the look and feel of the whole website and to build the static pages using oracle content management (UCM) and site studio designer integrated into Weblogic portal to introduce a better user experience using the portal's capabilities.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the analysis and design of the portal and content management systems integration solution.

• Created and presented a demo of the selected integration method to the top management which was later presented to the business users which is used in the current website.

• Lead the data gathering meetings with the project manager and was able to gather accurate requirements from the business users and documenting them.

• Responsible for writing each meeting’s MOM and sending it to the project manager.

• Creating the design documents for the system’s modules.

• Leading a team of 5 developers to meet the plan's deadline to create the new website's modules.

• Training and supporting team members during the implementation

• Assigning tasks to the team members and working with them to give accurate time estimates for each task

• Creating documents for the Quality team to explain the scope and functionality of each module

• Training the data entry team on the use of the system and their day to day tasks

Vodafone Egypt’s Website Revamp

Using Oracle’s UCM, the target was to create the entire website’s static pages and integrating all the e-services pages. UCM was used to provide easy day-to-day experience of creation of new pages and rich data entry experience for the marketing team responsible for the site’s structure and content.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Developing the website using Oracle’s Universal Content Management (UCM) and Web Content Management component Site Studio Designer

• Conducting unit testing for each of the modules created and creating reports on the test results.

• Giving training sessions to the business users on the day to day system usage and providing all the technical documentation as needed.

• Responsible for writing the user’s manual.

• Supporting the business users for handling daily issues.

• Handling the new requirements, giving time estimates to each task and implementing them.

• Classifying the issues’ categories, defining estimates for each task and solving them

• Responsible for the service suspension offline processes.

• Responsible for the site’s static pages.

• Written a proposal for an integration solution of the portal with UCM content management system with a full system time estimation and task breakdown.

• Presented a live demo for the business users explaining the solution.

• Participated in the estimation of the customer’s change requests.
