SUMMARY
I have over 10 years experience developing commercial healthcare software using the .NET Framework (C#), Visual C++, Visual Basic, and Microsoft SQL Server. I was one of the pioneering developers that developed GE Healthcare’s popular award winning Centricity practice management system. I have extensive knowledge of the entire healthcare IT infrastructure from initial patient registration, billing, insurance claims, and the capture and storage of electronic medical records. I have many years of experience writing software to generate electronic claim files (ANSI X12 837) and process electronic remittance files (ANSI X12 835). I have in-depth experience with HL7 communication (flat file and TCP/IP) between EMR, RIS (Radiology Information), and PMS systems.

WORK EXPERIENCE
WinMedStat (December 2001--Present) Lead Software Developer.
I’m responsible for managing all stages of software development of the company's WinMedStat healthcare practice management system (PMS). WinMedStat is high-end system that competes directly with the biggest players in the industry. I currently write enhancements to the system using C# and SQL Server 2005. Projects I’ve done include C# modules to process ANSI X12 835 Remittance files and create 837 electronic insurance claims, .NET COM interop libraries, HL7 TCP/IP interfaces, interfaces with HID devices, TWAIN device interfaces, Windows services, and general Windows Forms GUI development. I have also developed some custom ASP.NET applications for customers including a web service that exposes distributed patient registration and appointment scheduling modules over the internet. I’ve also developed a web services consumer module that interfaces with an E-prescribing system. In the absence of a business analyst at our company, I’m responsible for almost all initial requirements gathering through face-to-face meetings with our customers and business partners in addition to doing the development and testing of the software deliverables.
Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Inc (October 2001-- December 2001) Hourly Consultant.

The applications include an incident tracking system, a task tracking and management system, and a procedure change notification system. Acted as the sole developer responsible for all analysis, design, and coding of enhancements to the database and client applications.
RiverRock (March 2000--May 2000) Hourly Consultant.
Worked with a development team to support the successful implementation and testing of a new EDI phone service ordering system for CapRock Communications and Southwestern Bell. I wrote enhancements to the ANSI X12 EDI encoder and decoder programs using Visual Basic 6.0.
GE Healthcare (formerly Millbrook Corporation), (September 1996--February 2000) Software Developer.
I worked as part of the original development team developing the company's nationally recognized Centricity healthcare physician practice management application. Was responsible for database design and fully designed and implemented major modules to the application in Visual C++. During my tenure at the company, the application won prestigious "best in class" awards by Microsoft and the healthcare industry.
Greyhound Lines, Inc (May 1994--September 1996) Sr. Programmer/Analyst.
Fully designed and implemented a successful Visual Basic 4.0 DSS application used by Greyhound's Marketing department.
