While stationed aboard the USS Portland developed and executed the ships in port and at sea security plan. Modified security plan based on intelligence reports and threat matrix.

Participated in the development of GIS software used today to track military units on the battlefield. This software in conjunction with a global positioning system (GPS) allows the battlefield commander access to real time positions of his units and intelligence data to make quick and sound decisions concerning the battle.

Formulated Battalion and Company SOP's that were used as the foundation for the battalion to achieve its Special Operations Capable (SOC) designation.
