Profile:
I am an energetic, hardworking, reliable, family man that has been successful in the oilfield due to my skills that I have learnt over the years. Coming from a farming background I have a hands on safe approach to all the work that I am involved in. Due to the fact that I can quickly and efficiently analyze and identify any problems that occur, I have a great record of being under budget by solving the problems infield efficiently and with very little need of third party support. I take great pride in every task that I am involved with, achieving them safely and efficiently while earning the respect of my co- workers. I am very approachable and work well with others which has helped me greatly working in foreign countries. During my work in Mexico I developed a great comprehension of Mexican Spanish which helped me tremendously in the work that was involved there.
Major Achievements:
• I have received the 4 tear award from CAODC (Canadian Association of Drilling Contractors) for managing a drilling rig with zero LTI’s (Lost Time Incidents, I am on track to receive my 5 year.
• Due to the fact I have the most experience within Ensign working on their Coil tubing units I was sent to Colorado to train crews on the effective operation of an 8000ft CTU. It was very successful; cutting the wells down from 6 days to 3 days, the oil company signed a multimillion dollar contract.
• Was extensively involved in developing the procedures as well as the JSA’s (Job Safety Analysis) identifying the dangers that are involved with the operation of a coil unit.
• Through building and working on an 2000m ADR, that is hydraulically operated and controlled by PLC(progressive logic control), I have learnt a great deal about hydraulics as well as the computer programming controlling the functions.
