IT Technical Service Manager – Farmington Hills, MI and San Antonio, TX – Led a team of technical staff dedicated to corporate and plant resizing initiatives to ensure that all network, wiring, software and hardware needs were met according to cost containment and business revenue objectives. Managed 10 direct reports inclusive of Oracle DBAs, Oracle financial administrators, Data/Warehouse administrators, Gentran EDI administrators, SUN, UNIX/CAD administrators, as well as PC/administrative technical staff. Managed Multiple Infrastructure projects.

• Managed a 4 million dollar portion of a technical service and capital equipment budget of 15 million dollar budget.

• Directed the Help Desk contract workforce, including negotiation of rates and contracts, vendor deliverables of metrics and timelines, quality and ongoing cost effectiveness of outsourced service model.

• Team lead for the automation and compliance updates of the Sarbanes Oxley Compliance Team, developed electronic workflow model, as well as assessed cost benefit of continued outsourcing. Efforts resulted in significant savings and accuracy of recordkeeping via the migration of paper to electronic work processes.

• Managed complete install of all hardware, software, and wiring projects for a new plant plus consolidation of plants in 4 locations over 12-month timeline. Including hands-on project management lead as well as all technical communication deliverables and timelines.

IT Technical Service Manager/Project Manager – Novi, MI – Served as a technical manager/project manager and hands-on working team member for multiple IT related projects, including budget management, compliance and technical documentation, data center migration, updates and management as well as subject matter expert for several in-house training and technical customer service initiatives.

• Responsible for creation and management of 3 million dollar budget, including hardware, software procurement, and strategic oversight of outside vendor budgets and cost effectiveness metrics.

• Managed data center with 25 Wintel servers, 2 HP UNIX 11i servers, EMC SAN, Cisco infrastructure, and Trans 4M ERP system. Accountabilities included start to finish project management of migration from a sole HP Unix server and EMC SAN device to Multiple HP UNIX servers and EMC SAN devices located at remote locations. This also included ERP data replication on a daily basis for Disaster Recovery purposes.

• Managed Hummingbird Data Warehouse\Business Intelligence system for 7 years. Created BI/DW data models for ERP and Web based systems.

• As an addendum to the Sarbanes Oxley Compliance Team, analyzed Company’s current use of outsourced vendor Disaster Recovery Program model. Following complete review and analyses, ultimately resulted the build out of in internal program model and saved the business @ 35k per year by eliminating contractor and vendor-managed model across all business lines and building sites.

• Analyzed and directed complete processes and administration of desktop leasing programs. Initiated and implemented Thin Client technology to for entire company, resulting in significant capital expense savings due to shift from desktop leasing model.

• Migrated plant data to the data center in Auburn Hills MI, relieving the plants the cost of leasing server hardware.

• Served as technical lead for Sarbanes Oxley Compliance team during which time business never failed external audit as well as used audit process to strengthen approach to disaster recovery and change management methodologies.

• Held role of Project Manager as well as functional architect for multiple applications using (four (4) PLM/PDM, two (2) internal Human Resource workflow-based systems, four (4) Linux based systems for engineering and test labs.

• Managed Windchill PDM/PLM systems for 7 years.

• Managed Cisco Telephony system.

• Liaison between internal technical customer service team and developer while assisting the developer effectively translate precise needs and requirements.
