Programmed and maintained Document Fulfillment application to create automated document composition for major USA Health Insurance carriers by providing the ability for application to be table driven to lessen the necessity of constant exe creation and deployment. Created SQL stored procedures using WinSQL, Toad and Query Analyzer and combining ODBC, ADO and API with Visual Basic. Enhanced application used to import text files by adding filters to prevent text files with bad data from entering system and data cleansing. Developed improvements to assemble Word documents by providing users ability to choose documents to create in testing environment. Word applications use Bookmarks and Document Fields in conjunction with V.B., VBScript and VBA to determine what parts of documents are included/not included and values of fields. Debugging all V.B. applications on a regular basis and constantly creating ad hoc documents by writing VB code with T-SQL to generate critically needed Certificates in an Agile environment and exceed expectations while accomplishing Fast Track distinction. All code is saved in Visual SourceSafe.

Developed DLLs to determine which server to connect to and also access a DB2 environment and retrieve and store claims addresses and other pertinent information. DB2 queries are maintained in txt files to enable accessible editing without having to recompile VB code.

Developing dynamic and reliable, cost effective Document Fulfillment application to produce pdf files with embedded fonts using C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net and SQL Server 2005. Algorithms dynamically compose automated Word documents using advanced table\data driven criteria. Programs work synchronously using a DLL with sharable code that returns DataTables, Hashtables, SQLDataReaders and boolean values resulting from XML input files or Dynasets. Product functionality will enable users with basic to intermediate knowledge of Word features to efficiently create documents for Fulfillment process. Produced application flowcharts, Entity Relationship Diagrams using Visio and iteratively updating these as well as database and code to empathetically incorporate more advanced methods and ingenuity on a consistent basis.

www.patmcdaniel.com consists of menus and a login to verify password and display additional menus and links in HTML, ASP Classic, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET, IIS. Pages are created and tested on home computer then FTPed to web host.

Created Fantasy Football Draft website. Security was achieved through PHP and MYSQL to allow users the ability to log in and maintain picks of different football pools. Site also used JavaScript to enhance dynamic web features. Created and maintained web site with PWS with IIS for users of a Fantasy Football league to draft and save players in a SQL Server Database. Users entered site by choosing league and team name and after logging in with a password lists of players were displayed by position. Each user had the ability to choose which Select Box was visible and sorted by either last name or ESPN rank where data was converted into a SQL database from ESPN web pages. Site also included room to enable users the ability to chat while logged on. Pages were composed with HTML, VBScript, ASP and JavaScript.

Keane, Keane Inc., Tampa, FL 3/99 - 1/01

Contract Senior Programmer at Intermedia Communications developing a Visual Basic 6.0 application to read text files such as V.B. frm, bas and cls files and sql code. Program then generated reports showing code with word patterns entered by the user or read from text files. Generated Crystal Reports, Active Reports and Excel Spreadsheets for users by coding T-SQL stored procedures, V.B. and Visual Basic. Built Automated V.B. application for users to input and read parameters to generate reports from SQL tables. Reports were then emailed to users with MAPI Session and Messages controls through Microsoft Exchange. Applied API calls to enhance applications for speed and user specifications.

Oxford & Associates, Inc, Tampa, FL 2/98 - 3/99

Contract Programmer at Tampa Energy Company (TECO) specializing in development and enhancements of Visual Basic 5.0 applications using imbedded PL-SQL code accessed by the Oracle Data Control on an Oracle database. Some programs used objects to retrieve and enter data for Excel spreadsheets. Created ActiveX control to enable a programmer the ability to enter a maximum number value allowed by a user and prevent invalid characters or multiple decimals.

Senior Technical Specialist using Visual Basic 5.0 and Oracle 7.3. Developed V.B. application to read input files and store data in tables on an Oracle database using PL-SQL code. Records were manipulated and verified by comparing data currently on the database. Output files were generated including a summary file indicating specific record counts, incomplete data, and bad data.
