TECHNICAL SUMMARY
LabWare LIMS Experience
• Performed Module upgrades, LIMS Basic programming enhancements (large and small), customer support and training for two large Labware LIMS environments. Other project work as a Analyst Lead includes traditional BA responsibilities on enhancements, integrations and maintenance of LabWare LIMS V5/V6 leveraging many methodologies. Maintained documentation and ticket systems, provided trend analysis and reporting. Created and maintained Crystal Reports for the Labware LIMS systems. Maintained FireDeamon and schedulers on a 24/7 basis.
• Performed laboratory support for Fortune 100 manufacturer of consumer products. Responsible for setting up new computers, installing software and patches, hardware/software support, and network support. Trained team members in network concepts and Active Directory. Created Access database to maintain and track all supported equipment. Provided support for over 300 laboratory instruments and PCs. Collaborated with laboratory to resolve complicated issues involving SMS and lab PCs. Functioned as system administrator and software technician for CambridgeSoft E-Notebook 9.0.2 (ELN) for a Fortune 100 company that manufactures consumer products. Collaborated with approximately 100 to 500 clients using ELN. Administered the installation and re-installation of ELN; fixed ELN software issues and trained scientists on the usage of ELN; and navigated repair installers to effectively resolve issues. Resolution enabled computers and laboratory to function much more efficiently and effectively. All issues were completed according to laboratory SLAs and systems performed much faster by reducing errors at startup. Recognized by LabAnswer as Monthly MVP for high level of performance and customer satisfaction.
Information Technology Experience
• Served as Application Analyst for an international provider of internet connectivity. Supported internal billing systems by performing trend analysis to locate the nature of recurring problems. Implemented solution and rolled out updates to end users to address issues. Worked with and trained help desk associates as well as end users. Additionally created and maintained procedural documentation for helpdesk and end users.
• As Deskside Support/Repair Technician, analyzed, troubleshot, and resolved issues with desktop and laptop computers. Repaired and configured laptops for hot swap customers. Set up and monitored network and internet security.
• Served as Technical Representative providing technical support to over 4500 users on a nationwide and local area network. Performed troubleshooting for issues involving third party applications and Windows (95/98/NT). Installed applications over the network and via RAS. Trained end users on Microsoft products and brokerage applications.
• As IT Manager at an east coast technology firm, supported WAN consisting of ten servers and 50 PCs located in multiple states and countries. Responsibilities included managing and maintaining routers and switches, setting up and supporting hardware and software for Novell, Windows NT, email, and web servers. Additionally performed setup and support for desktop computers and mobile workstations.
• Served as MIS/LAN Administrator responsible for managing an enterprise network consisting of eight servers and 40 workstations at a data security firm in the northern United States. Installed and setup software and hardware on desktops and mobile machines. Managed and maintained email and web servers. Additionally maintained the Shiva LanRover for remote access using a Radius compliant server (VACMan).
• As Academic Lab Supervisor and Part Time Instructor, managed a lab of 400 IBM and 70 Mac computers running on Novell 3.11 and 4.1 servers. Responsibilities included installing software and setting up hardware to support all of the departments within the college. Responded to Help Desk calls and resolved issues relating to hardware and software, over the phone and in person. Managed staff of 35 student workers by creating and maintaining work schedules, providing payroll information, and training staff. Additional Experience
• Served as Finance Manager for an east coast automobile dealership. Performed as liaison between clients and over 20 lending institutions. Utilized web-based lending systems DealerTrack, CVR, and RouteOne to submit, negotiate, follow-up, and finalize loan process. Created and used custom reports to track and maintain organized paperflow, training, and data analysis. Additionally provided local administration, training, upgrades, and maintenance for lending systems.
• Performed as Aircraft Electrician providing service, troubleshooting, and repair for aircraft electrical and avionics systems. Additionally inspected, modified, and overhauled electronics systems.
