PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2009 – Present – Adept Innovations, Business Development

My responsibilities as an integral part of the management team are to assist in corporate branding and leverage sales through strategic partnerships. Adept-Innovations, is a Managed IT solutions company that supports ticketing and monitoring services for its clients. The company is working with several medium size businesses with a focus is on IP multi-media wide & local area networks, physical data integrity, secure access for telecommuters, backup and restoral methodologies through continuous data protection, and software audits for servers & edge devices - assisting corporations to comply to SAS70 and SOX. To differentiating from the normal Managed IT companies we have adopted the appropriate methodologies proven and tested for providing Software as a Service (SaaS) and Cloud Computing.

2006 – 2009 - Rycom Inc., GM Western Canada

With Rycom I help re-build and support business initiatives that were occurring in western Canada. Rycom held national Telecom Property Management contracts with 9 landlords supporting 158 properties across the country. I became a resource and advisory point of contact for the landlord with respects to telecom infrastructure which included telecom fire and electrical code enforcement, contractual overview with telecom services providers and risk-mediator on behalf the landlord. As a result of this relationship we serviced the tenants within these buildings; these services included cabling, security access control via biometrics, VoIP telephone systems deployment and Wi-Fi solutions. As a result of Rycom’s technical capability I was involved with unique solutions such as deployment of serial SCADA IP encapsulation solutions. I was responsible to establish and manage multiple sub-contractors and full time support personnel.

2002 – 2006 - Sure Trace Security Corporation, Business Development

A world-wide operation with offices in SE Asia, Europe, USA and Canada, Sure Trace focused on developing unique signatures through the use of rare earth chemical elements and applying these signatures to products for the purpose of preventing counterfeit in tobacco and pharmaceutical markets to name a few. These signatures could be identified using a hand-held x-ray gun. Responsibilities included forming a business structure to support multiple subsidiary divisions to execute the developed business plan, ensuring forecast budgets were completed.

1995 – 2002 - Expanded Systems Solutions Inc., Business Development - Partner

Calgary based company providing network integration services across Canada into the USA and around the world. Responsibilities included revenue generation, vendor and clientele relationship and development of network design strategies supporting multi-media applications. Identified collaborative ventures with telecom services providers and hardware manufacturers and jointly presented to the prospective client. For network deployment we established a subcontractor network across Canada and into the USA. I was responsible for the management of sales, pre & post technical support with an overall staff of four people initially expanding to eleven. We were successful in supplying Shaw Cablesystems the equipment for an ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) network nationally and into the USA.

During my tender I won the top award in Canada for Marconi sales and made club. Our revenues in our first year of operations were $1 million to over $10 million by 2001.

1990 - 1995 - Innerlink Inc., Business Development - Partner

With two employees in 1990 Innerlink was a Calgary based company providing telecommunications consulting and implementation services. My responsibilities included development of vendor relationships and complementary businesses in order to gain market share in achieving sales objectives. For consultative sales in network design and implementation I hired and educated sales personnel. Total staff reporting to me was fourteen with annual gross revenues of $6 million.

National networks designed and deployed included Sony Canada, the Brick Warehouse and Sony Music to name a few. In successfully working jointly over a period of time, the company was purchased and became the data division of Sprint Canada.
